This past weekend was Comic Con Revolution. Always a good show. Great guest list for everyone; media stars and comic creators. Its been close to 6 years since I last saw Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner, who's work I adore. So when there announced as guest of honor, I pulled out all my stuff to get signed lol. I brought my personal hardcover binds to get signed and a slew of Amanda issues for her but the topper was picking up some original artwork from a Vertigo series I love, Codename: Knockout. Love her work so much as her faces are so expressive and wonderful. Also fun dialogue bubbles! ![](https://scontent-lax3-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/444479899_3814612232160861_2414300551653033820_n.jpg?_nc_cat=107&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=5f2048&_nc_ohc=FjS_1SoRA-AQ7kNvgH3cYfr&_nc_ht=scontent-lax3-2.xx&oh=00_AYAT1wjpuZtTukxDEKOi_e1PqFPJG5Fw-fYucGqCuLaG8w&oe=66514A9B) ![](https://scontent-lax3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/441521923_3814612275494190_2429296320407527525_n.jpg?_nc_cat=110&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=5f2048&_nc_ohc=M8jGe5pn5rEQ7kNvgHVFpi1&_nc_ht=scontent-lax3-1.xx&oh=00_AYD0aC07aDXkq9sjNTD_blZkdoimoYm0PtuCV3Si_wsoJg&oe=66514805)

Just wondering, are you going to cover the Special Missions series as well? There is one issue (#6 if you're wondering) that is essential as it ties into an arc in the main Joe book. The Outback story? Probably my second favorite of series

I'd figure there would be a few Dave Stevens covers so I'm going with his successor, Adam Hughes Fairest #1 (2012)![](https://comicvine.gamespot.com/a/uploads/scale_large/6/67663/3434631-01a-full.jpg)

I'm trying not to buy so much stuff these days but this caught my eye and had to get it Ward's work in Cracked always bothered me. I loved the rendering and shading, but the proportions or something really creeped me out. Then, when I was in high school and was trading Mini comics in the mail, some guy sent me his Bill Ward underground hardcore porn comic. That REALLY creeped me out for some reason, and now I can hardly stand to look at the stuff from Cracked or elsewhere. I agree. The late smut era of Ward's work, along with his Cracked stuff was terrible. I know he was just accepting gigs to pay the bills but the artwork was majorly on the decline. It always made me sad that a genius of the 50s/60s Humorama stuff and pin-ups couldn't get something steady like DeCarlo or transition into advertising and comics.
