Cody, very nice tribute to your friend. It's obviously one thing to read about the death of a celebrity, writer, artist, etc. that you may have liked/respected (but never actually met) & feeling sadness because of this. However, it's quite another if someone close to you passes. I'm in my late 40's, and have seen some close relatives & acquaintances pass on. Very sad, and nothing ever prepares you for something like this.

A beautiful tribute, codystarbuck. Larry had a great friend in you, too. "Ring them bells for the blind and the deaf Ring them bells for all of us who are left Ring them bells for the chosen few Who will judge the many when the game is through Ring them bells for the time that flies For the child that cries When innocence dies."

Willie McCovey -- Giants Star passed away at the age of 80. I've met him in San Francisco in 1970 and he was very kind and I had a lots of respect for him.

Hong Kong Producer Raymond Chow dead at age 91. Everybody should know about Chow's martial arts movies! Some of the best around. He signed Bruce Lee for his 2 Golden Harvest films which began the legend. He helped to build Jackie Chan's early career with Golden Harvest. Was one of the 1st to pursue American/Chinese films production with the Cannonball Run series. Helped produce the 1st Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live action movies. To quote Mr. Chow: “My philosophy is to entertain people, to make people happy,” he said. “Filmmaking also suits my way of thinking: I love freedom, and don’t like being placed under restrictions.”

It's amazing how the stuntwomen of the era got overlooked; yet, were putting themselves at greater risk, due to costuming. jeannie Eppers, who also double Lynda (and came from a legendary stunt family) in the documentary double Dare (featuring her and Zoe Bell, from Xena and Kill Bill) talked about how they could pad themselves much, due to the costume. She jokingly said, "We had nylons..." The straps you see were added to the stunt costumes after Eppers "popped out" while doing a fairly basic stunt roll. O'Neill did some hefty stuff, between WW and TBW, like hanging from helicopters, jumping off buildings (as you see here) and even vehicular stuff.

Country music Hall of Famer and Hee Haw star Roy Clark has died at 85. Hee Haw was a weekly ritual when I was a kid. And while the humor is certainly dated the music isn't. Clark was a brilliant multi-instrumentalist. And while his particular brand of singing will never be my favorite listening to him play the guitar or the banjo will always be a joy. R. I. P. Roy. Keep pickin' and grinnin'.
