Please don't like my post ... I got another week of heat wave and this is the worst that I ever been through in the past 5-10 years and we have SMOKE from the fires from Oregon and Washington and making our air a bit light-brownish and looks real bad. Hopefully the SMOKE will go away by this Saturday, and our temperature is still hot ... Upper 80's and lower 90's until next Friday. Drinking Water every hour like clockwork and sleeping is very difficult and got up from a 90 minutes nap.
Very Unbearable.

Imagine how I felt Wednesday when I wasn't allowed any liquids from midnight through 3:30PM because of a long-scheduled colonoscopy. 90+ degrees and no water allowed! After I woke up, they offered me one of those kids' juice boxes and I sucked it down in one gulp. Cei-U! Apple juice has never tasted so good!

I've just got back from Swimming and I logged on and got an PM from another Member here and wanted touch base with you. Before heading home, I brought 4 Gallons of Drinking Water and some fruits too. I feel really bad about your operation and not allowing anything to drink. Man, that would killed me too. I just received an email from a friend in Vancouver B.C. and nearly 20 percent of the workforce stayed home because of the air quality from the Canadian Fires as well. I totally forgot about it and he is taking a day off and heading to the beach to escape the heat by snorkeling in the Pacific Ocean and I wished I could join him too. I'm taking time off from this forum until October and get away from computer and may chime in from time to time. Take care and drink water!

I'm a couple of hours south of CC and Cei-U!, and the smoke has affected us too. The air quality is low, but the temperature hasn't been quite as high as they thought it would be. The smoke blocks the sunlight. Yesterday and Wednesday it got over 100; today should be a little cooler. I'm working from home today but not because of the heat or the smoke. We finally bought a room air conditioner this week, so we can sleep.
Is there anywhere in the world where the temperature never goes above 85 or below 35 (Fahrenheit)? That would be my kind of climate.

I lived in the Bay Area for a while, and the temps rarely got above 75 and rarely fell below 45.

The Rubin report might just edge out PBS space time as my favourite Youtube show.
Ninety minutes of discussion allowing people to express their views without being judged or condemned, even when they're iffy? I am so there.
There! I said it.

Dave Rubin is probably my favorite independent political commentator out there. He's one of the few guys who I feel is a genuine centrist/moderate that's not beholden to parties.

Sometimes - often here? - I feel like we've debated Marvel and DC enough for at least 10 lifetimes

Sometimes - often here? - I feel like we've debated Marvel and DC enough for at least 10 lifetimes Especially since there's been little real difference between the two for the last 20 or 30 years.

They might be referred to as artificial intelligences, but the algorithms that analyze my internet searches and target me for stuff that's expected to interest me barely qualify for synthetic stupidity.
Yes, I looked at the price of a pair of shoes a few months ago and compared models... and then I bought a pair of shoes. I'm fine for a couple of years! Stop bombarding me with ads for shoes! I'm not a shoe fetishist or anything!
Yes, I watched a Game of Thrones trailer. I look forward to watching next season on DVD, sometimes next Winter. Stop bombarding me with Youtube commentaries where nerds complain that Brienne's teeth aren't big enough on TV! I don't care!
Yes, I shopped for a yukata for my wife's birthday. Stop bombarding me with images of barely pubescent Japanese girls in lingerie! You'll get me in trouble!
There! I said it.

Fans of pretty much anything suck the fun out of it.
Basically fans suck.
