Sony has worked a deal with Wizard World to develop IP found in artist's alley.
Sounds to me like a whole bunch of small press creators could sign their souls away for Wizard World and Sony to profit from if they are not careful and properly lawyered up. Better read those contracts super carefully before you sign anything.
