As the season progressed, it held up well, but got more and more grim and sexed-up, but mostly stuck to the murder mystery storyline. I don't watch a lot of TV, but when I recently took a Sabrina TPB out of the library, I didnlt even finish it--I don;t mind grim, but no sense of fun, As with all CW shows (except for Stargirl), it has devolved into insanity. Can't wait to see what they do with L'il Jinx. To bring this back to comics, as I read classic Archie, I've come to respect Joe Edwards as a really good cartoonist.

I should have known that even L'il Jinx was not above being fed into the "Ain't We Clever?" Machine.
I just hope Pop's Chocklit Shoppe hasn't been turned into Pop's Progressive Pizza Shoppe with a system of tunnels in the cellar.
No tunnels, but there is a speakeasy in the basement! As for characters who have been spared at this time... I don't think we've seen Cosmo the merry Martian yet, but I might be wrong. I know there were aliens at one point...

I absolutely love that in 2021 I can find and experience the pleasures of classic comics from before I was born in 1962. Comics that are capsules of time captured in their style and tone showing me a world I never knew.

The last 4 years, since I started buying DVDs, I've been enjoying old TV shows & movies, possibly more than I ever have before, and I started recording videotapes in late 1979. And I find myself now enjoying films & Tv shows, I think, more than I ever did COMIC-BOOKS.
Wow.

Whoever sets up the mtg (traditionally Icctrombone) posts a link a few minutes before it starts. If you have Zoom set up, you should just have to click on it.

All well and good, but I'll be the one posting the link (next week's meeting has no time limit, as a reward for starting my account) and I don't know how (Rob did it last week).

Icctrombone should be able to help you out Kurt. Using Zoom at work for meetings it is fairly simplified. Not sure about differences for home/personal use. The basic is: Sign in to your Zoom web portal. · Click Meetings. · Click Schedule a Meeting. · Choose the date and time for your meeting. You may also be able to pull up a calendar in Zoom, click on the date/time to create. Once you have a meeting scheduled a link should appear and once saved you copy and paste into a message/post. In the CCF in our Zoom thread for the rest of us to click on to join up in the meeting.

My OCD used to make me feel like I had to start at the beginning and watch each episode consecutively till the end, but I've just been cherry picking whatever catches my eye that night. It's a lot more fun that way.

Having a complete collection is cool, as it allows you to watch EVERY episode of something, and, in any order you like. (Broadcast, production, or, in some cases, one that makes more sense than either-- or, just however it strikes you.)
But it also allows you to SKIP anything you like. And it's even easier to do that with DVDs than tapes.
I started doing this with STAR TREK. It's long been one of my top favorite shows, with some stories I can watch over and over and over and never get sick of them. But... SOME episodes, I just don't F***ing like (and never did, even when they were first-run), while others... I've just see too damn many times.
The last 3 times I watched the entire run, each time, I started skipping certain episodes. And each time, I'd skip MORE. And doing so... the show KEPT GETTING BETTER!

It won't be anytime soon (too much else on the agenda), but, at some point, I could see myself getting the DVD set of NIGHT GALLERY. I watched it first-run. In syndication, the show was BUTCHERED so horribly... it was too frustrating to bother. But being able to see it INTACT again... that would cool.
