Darn, I was finally going to introduce myself but if females have shown up here recently then everyone is going to ignore anything I write! I'll wait for a slow and rainy day and bore you all with my life story. Of course, it's so short and boring I could have finished by now.... You've got a photo with Tom Servo in your avatar. That makes you plenty interesting to me, trevor Ok, life is short and I have a habit of putting things off until I forget about them, so I'll go ahead and invalidate what I just said and at least tell the avatar story. I was a big Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan back when it was picked up by The Comedy Channel (later Comedy Central) in 1989. In the summer of 1990 I was taking a pilgrimage to my favorite state, Minnesota, and happened to notice that I would be staying near their studio in suburban Minneapolis. On a whim, I called them and said something like, "Forgive me, but I'm just a fan of the show traveling by and wanted to call and say thank you for the entertainment." Whoever answered the phone said something like, "You know, tonight happens to be our end of the year wrap party, why don't you come and be the token fan?" It was pretty much as great as I could have imagined it. It was just the staff and their families, and me. I got to meet everyone, was introduced to Joel's parents, and got my picture taken with Tom Servo and Crow. The photographer? Joel Hodgson. I was young and naive, not really appreciating what a unique experience it was. I wish I had taken more photos and accepted their offer of a devil dog prop from one of the first episodes. There. My best ever story is out there. My relationship with all of you is all downhill from here.

What an awesome thread! And that newsstand website rocks. I'm not as organized as I should be , but looking through the releases it looks like I probably currently own about 50 of them, probably purchasing 35-40 of them that month.

Personally, I think all digital back issues a year old or older should be .99. I agree. Wait, no I don't! I'd go broke the first day they set that pricing. Hey Trevor, welcome to the forum. I was following your digital thread in Cbr. So you were the one? Not much traffic in that thread iirc. I think I'm going to like it here. Content more to my liking, and the crowd is friendlier.

Humble Bundle just put up a new listing for IDW/Top Shelf books. Notably this lot includes Locke & Key vol 1-6, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen vol 3 with more on the way...
I think I have most of these on Comixology, but that 'more on the way' is usually good enough to be worth an automatic purchase.

^ I picked up the Rocky&Bullwinkle books, particularly looking forward to the one that is Dell reprints from the 60s. From Hexagon, the 1960s Tarzan-like series Zembla is on sale, five volumes at $.98 each, unknown duration. Has anyone ever read this? www.comixology.com/ZEMBLA/comics-series/25905

I'm new and unsure of protocol in these threads, but is general talk about Wizard appropriate here?
I still have a bunch of their #1/2 issues. Most are titles I'm not at all interested in, but I doubt I'll ever be able to get rid of them. I'm trying to find something in my collection to get rid of and I figure my old Wizards are a good candidate. They were fun in their time, but with so many books in my collection I have to choose to cull something.

It depends on the scale(s) you use obviously, but weight fluctuation was very common on my journey. I'd have ten pound swings in one day, wouldn't bat an eye over it. The clothes/shoes you're wearing, amount of food and water in your system, and scale variance can be quite dramatic. Plus once you start working out you may build a bit of muscle weight.
Unless I'm weighing on the same professionally calibrated scale at the same time each day and wearing the same things, I wouldn't worry about the scale except after a few weeks.
