On Ebay, I ran across Patsy Walker's Fashion Queen Sized Special(1966). The asking prices were shocking to me. Plus, I was amazed that Patsy Walker was still being published in 1966.
So, are there any comic books that you think are way overpriced?
Hope we can have fun with this thread.

RE; the Trigger Twins reprint. The GCD says editor E. Nelson Bridwell had this to say in the first issue.
Recap of Trigger Twins and Pow Wow Smith strips. Although the indicia indicates a "bi-monthly" frequency, this half-page says that "due to scheduling changes, it is only planned as a one-shot (unless it sells very well, in which case a comeback is possible)."
Makes me think this title may have been a victim of the newsprint shortage that affected several DC title at the time. But strangely, Marvel wasn't affected.

Speaking of Mike Murdock, can anyone here give me a brief outline of who he was? I remember reading a DD reprint in the 70s with Mike Murdock and I was confused.

Awesome! Thanks Prince Hal.
And I like that big Johnny Thunder reprint masthead. Makes it stand out from the other wimpy logos.

I was haunting the spinner racks when those Johnny Thunder reprints came out but none of these covers look familiar to me.
Did DC have a Trigger Twins reprint book at this same time?

There were also some ads in Marvel comics announcing the John Buscema School for aspiring comic book artists. I assume his art lessons at the con may have led to the school or maybe he was promoting his school at the Marvel Con.

I just remembered that Charlton comics would often times have a couple of pages still connected along the outer edge. This was because the outer edge of the book had not been trimmed properly. I'd have to separate them with an exacto knife. The paper was so crummy that the edges came out ragged no matter how careful I was.
This had to be done just to be able to read the dang story.

When I started collecting comics in my mid teens, I would try to repair any defects a comic might have. I wasn't doing it to increase it's value. I was fixing it the same way I would try to fix a broken toy or bicycle etc.
If it was a comic that someone had written 5 or 10 cents on the cover in magic marker I could remove it by carefully wiping it with spot remover.
If a page was loose I could put a dab of white glue on a toothpick and make it stay in place.
Sometimes if a small piece of the cover was missing, I would find some comic that was beyond repair, but had a section of white on it's cover. I would glue that piece underneath the missing section of the good comic and then draw in the missing section of art with a black ink pen and colored felt markers.
I never made any repairs with tape.
Did anyone else do stuff like this?

Hmmm...I meant the full run, but didn't know it lasted 59 issues when I said that. I would think those non Kirby issues would be very cheap. Back at the time, I had no interest in the series without Kirby but looking at them now on the GCD, it looks like they could be interesting. I read the issue after Kirby departed, and it was utter garbage. Bought and read the final issue just to see if it improved over time, and it felt pretty much the same. Personally, I'd recommend only including the Kirby issues, but it's your dime. I would have agreed with you back then. But as I get older, I am more forgiving, and I can enjoy these for the cheap entertainment they were meant to be. Besides, I want to know how Kamandi became the grandson of OMAC.

Anyway..... Kamandi, the Last Boy on Earth would be easy. Full run, or just the Kirby issues? Hmmm...I meant the full run, but didn't know it lasted 59 issues when I said that. I think I could put together a complete run of Challengers of the Unknown, including Showcase issues fairly cheaply on ebay.

My kids don't care for comics. It may be my collection will end up on you people's hands!!! I've already mentioned it to my wife. That's OK with me. As long as it's not a turkey like Brother Power the Geek #3.

Good question. My dad just went into an assisted living facility. I've been cleaning out his house and it makes me realize that all the crap we accumulate means nothing.
I've recently sold off some of my comics. In a few years I plan to sell off the issues I like most.
