I think it's interesting, these attractions experienced at such a young age - how do they compare with the more obvious and often more overtly sexual attractions that happen in adolescence and later on, for example? Uhura on Star Trek was a big one for me - I would have been 7 years old when the original series ended - also Crystal in the Kirby/Lee FF comics, among many others.
Catherine Schell's name sounds familiar and I watched Space:1999 when it was on but haven't seen it since then and can't picture her character or recall much else about the show apart from that I liked it at the time.
You may also know Schell from her prominent role in Return of the Pink Panther.
Yes. I was reading this whole conversation about her and not knowing any reference to her but recognizing her face. And this is why. It was one of my father's favorite movies and I would always sit down and watch it with him. Became one of my favorite comedy movies of all time too. As far as my first crush, would probably be Diana Rigg as Miss Emma Peel in the Avengers. I watched those episodes on cable at my Grandmother's back in the 80's. One show providing my first crush and my first male role model. Someday I will get me a bowler. And have the courage to wear it.

I am by no means a Superman fan. But I would love to see an extrapolation on this .... one of the most enjoyable Superman comics I have ever read. I would even be happy with a continuing maxi-series or limited series. It was just too much greatness in a one-shot to just let go.

Good idea, but I went for a bottle of whisky. (Because that's what cowboys drink, and we also used to play cowboys & Indians). Good answer Exactly. Who doesn't like free alcohol? Even if you bought me tequila, I would still smile and choke down every ounce.

Granted I wasn't around for the 70's revival of the X-Men, quite literally. And I have not read a whole lot of older X-Men nor know sales history for that time. But I would also cite the continued popularity of the X-Men with the second title, X-Men, coming on the scene with new young artists in the 90's. The 90's X-Men animated series got years and years of airings even after it came out. I think it was just as influential to people coming to comics as Batman:TAS was. Factor in comics cards bursting out in the 90's alongside sports cards (which almost everyone boy was into) and several of them being X-Men. I would say the 90's series helped keep the X-Men relevant to a new generation. I remember how big Fatal Attractions was among many, many other "earth shaking" crossover that came out in the 90's tying all the X-titles together. Might even be responsible for the fact that we had the Fox X-Men movies?

Bring back anthologies like Batman LOTDK or Elseworlds. You can tell all kinds of stories if the reader knows that this story has no effect on continuity. Also publisher crossovers tend to have zero effect on either party's continuity in their respective universes. That being said I would love to see Hellboy and team square up with the Aliens.

King Kong #1A Whitman Treasury Edition (1968) Though to be honest the movie poster of the 1976 remake with Kong having one foot on each of the twin towers is what first came to mind when reading the criteria. But that was not reproduced on a comic cover so here ya go.

I am a very big fan of 90's Ghost Rider. Danny Ketch is my favorite GR. I did read some of Blaze when they reprinted the original issues in The Original Ghost Rider series in the 90's as well. I will admit the 90's GR was falling in line with the "extreme" of everything, not just comics, in 90's media. But unlike a lot of things in the 90's comics, it seemed to have substance to it too. Many of the stories, especially early ones, were engrossing. Perhaps it was just that for me, I started reading comics at the start/height of the popularity of X-Files (something that was a family favorite that we all watched together) and the supernatural aspect of a man being possessed by a demon yet using the power for good was a win/win. Plus the Salvador Larroca art (which was where I first started reading it) sealed the deal. Doesn't also help my first story was a cross over of X-Men & Gr vs Brood. While I liked some of the earlier art as I went back and bought back issues none were up to his art. And I have consistently liked (and bought) what he has put out since, and before really. Even Death's Head II the epitome of 90's extreme comics.

Not a stab at my mother in laws' cooking (both my wife's biological mother and my wife's current step mother) when it comes to mac & cheese and stuffing I much prefer the boxed versions. And on Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner they both cook a box of Stove Top and Velveeta shells & cheese for me. But Stove Top and "dressing" as they call it for Southerns are two very different things. Like going to the UK and asking for biscuits & gravy and frightening said person. And apparently devil eggs as my mother always made them with dill relish and Southerns use sweet relish. And so both my dear mother in laws made some with dill relish like mother did for me as well.
