I rarely eat ice cream. In fact I couldn't tell you the last time I ate ice cream or an ice cream related treat. I do on occassion make homemade milk shakes like my mom use to make with vanilla ice cream. And sometimes add oreos to make it cookies and cream. Now frozen yogurt .... that I have to force myself to ration. Way better than ice cream to me. Better? How? It's ice cream's less-attractive cousin! At the risk of skewering your opinion of me even more; I'd take sherbet over ice cream too.

codystarbuckAnd ordered me a copy. I kinda got a crush on Death. Don't say anything out loud, around Thanos; he's the jealous type! He can have that death. Me, I like ladies with some meat on their bones. ;-)

Not Bucky O'Hare? Well may be it should be.
There, I said it.

I've never felt like I couldn't post at the previous place, I just have basically no interest to do so anymore. The things I went for had already started to fade out, and when they nuked the history and people left, I just had little reason. The advantage is that they have a lot of traffic. Sometimes I want to have lots of knowledgeable exchanges. Over here there might be a few posts about a subject and you have to wait a few days for it. I tried to post there post-COIE for that reason. I did so on and off and even participating in the cover contest now and then. It's probably been over a year since I posted there. Had a discussion turn sour and really give me the impression from the results that CBR does NOT have the unbiased and fair minded moderation team that we do here. So I just stopped logging in.

berkley I will chime in, I am from the pre-VHS era, though barely. I grew up with grandparents (my dad's parents) that had cable and a VCR back when they were new high end technology and I watched a lot of older movies and TV shows. My grandmother was big in science fiction of all kinds; Star Trek, Godzilla (and various other monster movies), Twlight Zone/Outer Limits, Star Wars, etc. So much of the older stuff I have falls into that category, rather than the military dramas that might have showcased those military uniforms. My grandfather watched war movies, but they never really appealed to me at a young age so again I probably wouldn't have been exposed enough to know. I mostly liked to watch westerns with him because he liked both the old classic American westerns as much as the Italian westerns. I continue to try and do the same that my parents and grandparents did with my kids, and expose them to movies/TV of all times. One of my oldest boy's favorite movies is the original King Kong that my dad bought for him when he was like 8-9 years old.

I'm no comic book historian, but am a Starlin fan. I feel mostly whether Starlin volunteered from some of the many projects he did for Marvel and DC, or them hiring him specifically, it seems like most anything after Warlock was just Starlin killing characters. Whether intentional of not, he just became a comic book character assassin. With Death of the New Gods probably being his worst. Though I haven't read anything new of his after the three "Infinity" GNs.

I can't get involved in this conversation. This is just as volatile for me as politics. And the moderation staff has said that is a no no.

The fastest way to get a correct answer in the net is to post a wrong one. Well tbf you did assert Perez leaving Infinity Gauntlet was a travesty as if maybe implying that you don't like Ron Lim's art. And that sir is a wrong answer. ;-)

I hope we can overlook if someone posts about something that might be political (and it sure feels like everything can be sometimes) where it directly affects them, perhaps suddenly so (like connected to the virus), but generally I will try my best to walk a line, or do some needed walking back, with respect and listening to others' wishes.I'm not one for 'enemy' or even ignore lists... unless it's declaring Doctor Doom an enemy and I can ignore Lobo! Lobo is so obnoxiously ignorable... should be easy. Wow. I think his music is good. But I guess some people don't apparently.

Also while helping my wife cook I asked Alexia to play Kashmir by Pink Floyd. This will be my last glass of gin. 😬
I'd be interested in hearing Pink Floyd's Kashmir. Led Zeppelin could do The Nile Song in exchange (though The Who might be an even better fit).
Learning To Fly is one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs. Wouldn’t mind hearing Led Zepplin’s take on it.

Personally I wonder can you think things like the Beatles, Scarface, Citizen Kane (and everything Cher did without Sonny) as bleh and still recognize the talent. I’d rather listen to the Monkees over the Beatles. Dick Tracey over Scarface and I Got You Babe over anything she’s done solo.
