Considering that the name of the show is Game of Thrones, who's the best player? Cersei sure seems like she's playing to win. Apples and oranges, she started the game with a Full house (pun intended) when the cards were dealt, Baelish started with One pair (another pun).

Having prior knowledge of the original series (and the movie IMO) is crucial. Is it? I heard you can skip the movie.

Westworld lives up to its rep, I'd say. Looking forward to the next series. Oh yeah. It's brilliant. I've watched it twice so far; once by myself as it aired, and once with my girlfriend, who also liked it a whole lot. I'm really enjoying the Amazon Prime original series The Man In The High Castle. I have two episodes left to go in season one. Westworld was a real treat, and The Man In The High Castle only gets better in S02.

Jessica Jones DD season 2 (I have two eps to go) Flash season 3 Stranger Things (will wrap that up later this week) Supernatural season 12 (about halfway through) Game of Thrones season 6 (rewatch before season 7 starts this Sunday) My oder of preference for those shows would be: Game of Thrones season 6 Jessica Jones Stranger Things DD season 2 Supernatural

Season 3 finales for both Better Call Saul and Fargo this week. I thought both seasons were pretty good and overall I feel these series are some of the strongest writing on cable. Better Call Saul gets on the slow side of things for no better reason than the seer enjoyment of it, but I like it. Fargo is also among my top 10, but it feels like every season is slightly weaker than the previous one, the most interesting characters (Malvo, Peggy and Varga) exemplify said decay.

House of cards season 5 sees the whole thing coming to a boil as different long established plot lines are resolved or on the verge to be. And man, that speech Underwood gives mid-season, speaking directly to the viewer... That's pretty much telling it like it is, right? What about that final speech from his better half?

Perhaps there will be no one on the iron throne in the end That's one of the brilliant aspects of this epic: you're absolutely right, that is the real story... but apart from Jon, none of the characters know it! There was a vision of the Iron Throne room destroyed, when Dany was looking for her dragons, at the end of season two. The 3-eyed Raven knows, and I suspect he'll have a basic role in the Night King's demise.

But I have to say, if it ends up being Jon Snow, Tyrion or Daenarys sitting on the throne in the end...I'll be disappointed. Would be an incredibly predictable ending to a notoriously unpredictable show. The problem is that if it isn't either Dany or Jon, then it seems too unpredictable and done only because it's something no one expected. I'm rooting for Sansa and Littlefinger.

Right up there with the original Twin Peaks as my favorite non-comedy TV show. We were all crazy about it when it originally aired, at college, but I'm watching it again now, to prepare for Season 3, and it feels kind of dated. More of a parody than anything else, most of the time.

Didn't Game of Thrones have its specific thread around here? Seems odd.

Game of Thrones Season 7, Episode 4 "The Spoils of War" I thought Arya's reunion with Sansa and Bran was touching and liked seeing the Starks together again. It's kind of crazy seeing how much time has passed. I thought the cave paintings were interesting and wonder if that history will come up again or in the prequels. Arya and Brienne sparring was exciting to watch. Jon Snow seeing Theon Greyjoy made for a tense meeting. Daenerys flying into battle on the back of her dragon with a legion of Dothraki was epic and I was glad to see another episode end with a battle sequence. I like that there was sort of a cliffhanger and I'm curious about the fate of Jaime Lannister. No mystery there, Bronn (I mean "Ser Bronn of the Blackwater", will have his castle and his princess )
