I wouldn't say it's offensive, but still, I sometimes think it contributes to a sense that this is a bit of a boy's club, in spite of the sporadic beefcake posts. I don't recall any of our few female members calling anyone out on it, but that could just be politeness and we shouldn't need to be told anyway. Have the mods ever discussed it? Even though I look in and comment occasionally myself, I wouldn't be upset if it were canned, to be honest - no offence to the thread-starter or anyone else. |

No, as much as I feel it's a poor reflection on an otherwise stellar community of mature and decent individuals, folks have a right to express themselves so long as they are respectful, not targeting another member, nor crossing non-safe-for-work lines. We don't ban opinions and preferences just because we don't like them. And, to be fair, many of the contributions in this thread are quite tasteful. It's mostly the torture and bondage stuff that makes my skin crawl. |

First off, I find many of your contributions tasteful, and secondly you have every right to post any content you want to that falls within The Rules of the Road. My comments were my own personal opinions about this thread (and about the objectification of women in comics in general); not an official statement on behalf of the mod team. And my comments were certainly not specifically targeted at you and your contributions. I do personally worry how even having a thread with this title that is 94 pages long comes off to a newcomer, and I especially worry about the content on the very first page of said thread, but there is absolutely no consideration being made about locking it down or deleting it. So long as CCF members are interested in sharing workplace-appropriate sexy covers, they are permitted to do so. |

I will try my best to tone it down and find covers that are more tasteful than exploited and I do contribute now and then but lately I have been contributing to this thread because I was using the internet a lot doing research for my 50 Influential Characters and find covers that are for this thread and help Icctrombone who doing a decent job posting covers of it's own.
