Never watched this show when it aired but I have just finished viewing all 5 seasons via DVD and must say I was totally impressed with this show. Funny, but I don't recall anyone mentioning this series on these boards before but I'm interested to hear other's opinions. Its a show made for lovers of comic books and other geek pop culture because the show is immersed with it.
Briefly summarized, Chuck (Zack Levi) works in a Buy More store (looks like a Best Buy) as a member of it's Nerd Herd computer techs (just like Best Buy's Geek Squad). He loves comics, SF movies and other associated topics. His bedroom is filled with comic book covers. Inadvertently, a computer virus is downloaded directly into his brain. This virus contains all the top-secret government info regarding criminal activity, weaponry, spy agencies etc. The US government assigns one of its top spies to monitor Chuck and make use of his abilities. That would be Sara (Yvonne Strahovski), a gorgeous blonde and skilled fighter. She is assisted by John Casey (Adam Baldwin). Later Chuck realizes the computer virus also has imbued him with martial arts abilities.
Its a hour long action/comedy/spy show that, at its core, is about the character development between Chuck and Sara as well as their burgeoning romance. The action and visuals are impressive for a TV show, its dialogue is smart, the comedy has a touch of sophistication and the supporting cast is engaging. The more I watched, the more I was hooked. And the guest stars on the show are amazing:
Timothy Dalton, Linda Hamilton, Tony Todd, Scott Bakula, Chevy Chase, Angus MacFadyen, Morgan Fairchild, Bo Derek, Robin Givens, Nicole Richie, Steve Austin, John Larroquette, Richard Chamberlain, Bruce Boxleitner and more. Even freakin' Stan Lee made a cameo
Obviously I'm highly recommending the show. It ran for 91 episodes and was allowed to come to a planned conclusion
Any other Chucksters here?

My wife and I absolutely loved Chuck! It was one of the first shows that we ever watched together on a regular basis, and it was certainly the first hour-long show we did (there had been some half-hour comedies we had gotten into). It was just a really fun show that didn't take itself too seriously and was more than willing to show its love for geeks. The last season was hit-or-miss, but I was glad they were able to tell the story they wanted to, rather than have the show cancelled and a proper finale not be given.
On top of the list you gave, some other guest stars included Tony Hale, Matt Bomer, Ben Savage, Gary Cole and Jordana Brewster.
I have all of these on DVD, and I may watch it again once I get through my current Doctor Who obsession.

Sounds like I'll have to check it out. A Chevy Chase appearance is a good sign to me.
