New Frontier is amazing, and I agree, it's definitely one of the all time greatest comics. You guys are going to force me to buy this book... Even if you think the story isn't great, there's all that wonderful Cooke art to see.

I think I hit another comic slump. With Orange Is The New Black and True Detective on TV, and my recently purchased Witcher 3, I barely cracked open my Usagi Yojimbo Saga vol. 3 and got to about page 70. That's it so far for the month. We'll see if I have anything to list by the end of next week

How up to date are you on the floppies? I was really rereading the Special Edition, since I had nearly a full run already, and had read the early stories in trade form already. I kind of stopped early on in the Mirage run and started back up 100 issues into the Dark Horse run, so these Saga books are pretty much all new material to me.

I've read all but the newest floppy, but I haven't re-read the old stuff in over a decade. It's very much like catching up with an old friend, and much of it is even better than I remembered.

June total: 123
Highlights: I finally started reading Zot! and I am really glad I did. The art is good and the characters and world building are really fun.
Other highlights: The Walking Dead has been consistently excellent and every time I pick it up I end up binge reading at least a dozen issues. I've actually just caught up with the TV series and am debating whether or not to read ahead.

Coming in at approximately 133 for the month (long OGNs and lots of comic strips make the number an approximation).
Highlights-The Sculptor by McCloud, the Shuma-Gorath, Sise-Neg and Silver Dagger stories from early 70s Dr. Strange
The lowlight-early Silver Age Thor in Journey into Mystery, some of those are painfully bad, interesting for their place in history, but not the best reads

The lowlight-early Silver Age Thor in Journey into Mystery, some of those are painfully bad, interesting for their place in history, but not the best reads -M That seems to be a running opinion regarding the first 20-30 issues of Thor. I think it picks up once the Absorbing Man first appears and the Tales of Asgard begin.

the Shuma-Gorath, Sise-Neg and Silver Dagger stories from early 70s Dr. Strange -M I haven't read too many comics as good as these. Three comics masters (Englehart/Brunner/Girodano) at the peak of their powers.

In the final hours of the month I managed to read four comics. Enjoyed all of them. I actually put a good sized dent in my Usagi Yojimbo Saga as well but haven't quite finished it, so that will be added to next months list.

It was Waid Month for me as I reread Empire, Incorruptible and Irredeemable. Now I'm wondering if Slam Bradley got that half a comic finished.

92 books this month, the largest chunk being 65 consecutive issues of Bronze Age Thor (195-260). Not all of those Thor books were great and there were some weird storylines and moments, but overall, I really enjoyed what I read there.
As mentioned in another thread, I really didn't enjoy the Silver Age Incredible Hulk issues that I read this month.
