Well March started with me reading 5 OGNs for RaGN Week and the pace never slowed down, as with prose included I read somewhere in the vicinity of the equivalent of 190 comics (give or take a half dozen), the only ones I didn't thoroughly enjoy were some of the Dr. Fate stories from the Golden age archives, and I have highlighted why elsewhere. They are still interesting and entertaining to read though. The Earth 2 stuff form new52 is also solid and enjoyable, but not spectacular. I did enjoy Robinson's alternate version of Dr. Fate, Nabu and Wotan though.
Highlights-Howard Prose, the OGN's from the beginning of the month, and later (Read Dreadtar again near the end of the month after reading the Price at the beginning), Heavy Metal #1, and MoKF. If Star Hunters and Starfire had proper endings they might be highlights, they were great reads but unfinished, and doomed to remain so by the DC Implosion.

March total: 128
Highlights: Hitoshi Iwaaki's Parasyte was a fantastic read. Alan Moore's Swamp Thing run continues to impress.
Other highlights: I finally caught up on the current run of Astro City. (Now all I have left to read is the spinoff mini series.) Walking Dead continues to be really solid.

I'm not sure I read any comics last month. I thought I'd read 1/2, but that was actually a re-read of a Human Torch/Strange Tales for my review thread.
It was also probably my slowest month for reading prose in probably five years. I blame Europa Universalis 4.

LOL... I know how that is.. I've been sucked into video games before. If you need something to get you excited about reading something, Slam, check out Hit: 1955... GREAT noir comic I read today... totally up your alley.

I read a ton of comics in January and February. March was probably closer to my usual month as I read 92. Big thing in March is that I finished a few series that I had started a long time back including The Boys, DMZ, Scalped and The Massive.
Scalped is a classic crime comic, it's one of the best I have read. DMZ turned out way different than I expected. It's a pretty unique series and I thought how Brian Wood tied it together was really great in the last arc. The Boys is a very dark and strange series. If you are a big fan of Garth Ennis, it's worth reading but it's not my favorite by him at all.
Other than that I read quite a few various Star Wars comics both the old Marvel series, the new Marvel series and Dark Horse series. They are all pretty good. Star Wars: Underworld seemed to be written for a younger audience, but it was ok. I really like Salvador Larocca's artwork on Darth Vader, he is perfect for that title.
Copperhead Vol. 1 was a solid read. It's pretty much a western in a scifi setting. So far I wouldn't call it something totally fresh, but I'd read the next volume to see how the world builds out.
Nameless and Multiversity: Ultra Comics #1 were both solid additions to the doomsday story Grant Morrison has been writing nearly his whole career.
Before the Incal is a pretty bonkers comic. The last chapter about 'Coco-loco' was as crazy as anything in the original Incal. I'd have to think Morrison, Hickman and other modern comic writers have picked up a thing or two from Alejandro Jodorowsky.

I read 96 issues this month and these are the Highlights:
The Good
Avengers (v.1) 289-300
It was nice to read the Stern/ Simonson /Buscema run again, and I appreciated it more this time around.
What If (v.1) 32 The what if version of the Korvac affair was chock full of cosmic guest stars and was highlighted by each character being inked by the artist most associated with them.
The Bad
Original Sin 8 Boy, did this mini stink. Bad art and bad story. I think Marvel is running out of ideas.
X-women 1 Milos Mannara is famous in Europe for his erotic books but it was a bad fit for this one-shot that highlighted the X females. they all looked like they were having orgasms the whole book.
The Ugly
The Boys 22,42,45,48,54,56,61,71 Don’t get me wrong- I like this series but I had a hard time getting through he English slang.
JLA 68-75 This run of issues was the “Obsidian Age “ storyline. In a nut shell- The big 7 go back in time to rescue Aquaman who is trapped following the events of the “ Our World at War” event. The negative of this run was the artwork of Yvel Guichet, who alternated issues with Doug Mahnke. He was definitely the weak link.
Surprise of the month
Captain America 169-176
It was the first time I read the Secret Empire Saga. It was a big Meh.

I read a lot of Savage Sword of Conan and Worlds Finest in March. My comics number read was lower but my page count was much higher. The Dollar Comics era of Worlds Finest is bland at best.

I read twelve chapters of Deadman Wonderland and three chapters of One Piece, and that was all in the last few days of the month. Maybe I'll get back in the swing of things when my pull for last month gets here.

After years of separation, I am finally reunited with my beloved comic collection. And have put my stack of new comics off to the side to read some old favorites. The collection still needs to get put back in order, a task that will take time.
But for now I've taken advantage. Pulled out and read a couple random comics. Came across some old favorites. And have focused a bit on Daredevil and Avengers, inspired by my enthusiasm for the new TV series and upcoming movie.

Season 1 was amazing. Go watch it!

April is drawing to a close, not sure I will get to any more today, but a very productive month of reading again....
read a bunch of sword and sorcery-Hour of the Dragon and A Witch Shall be Born by Howard, the run of Claw, finished off the last half of the Arak run; and stuff not far form sword and sorcery like Skull the Slayer (including the 2 part wrap up with Ben Grimm in MTIO), and finished off the S&S portion of the month by returning to Warlord and rereading the intro in First Issue Special #8.
Finally finished the Golden Age Dr. Fate Archives, a couple of outside the norm DC one-shots and minis (Superman: War of the Worlds, Legend of the Hawkman, and Clash), picked up on some series I had put down for a bit (Micronauts, Master of Kung Fu, Fear Agent) and sampled some new stuff (Sixth Gun, Atomic Robo)plus some miscellaneous other stuff totaling well over 100 "comics" for the month.
Highlights: Corben's Rip in Time, Sixth Gun Vol. 1, Nightworld, Master of Kung Fu, Atomic Robo and Howard's Conan
Lowlights: Earth 2, the Mordred stories in Marvel Chillers, the final batch of Dr. Fate stories in the archives.

My April was less than stellar due to work commitments but such is life.
