"El Toro Rojo" means "Red Bull". They should advertise that their energy drink makes you immune to uru. But not - and I assume that is the story twist the cover hints at - bananas!

There is a lot going on in this cover, and none of it makes a lick of sense... I want to know which character is Thor. Anyway... I looked him up, and here's the Thor that appeared in Weird Comics: comicvine.gamespot.com/thor/4005-90453/Oh, I thought it wath the girl with the bad guy'th fingerth near her eyeth.

What I love the most about this cover is the tiny " this issue, Batman DIES!" blurb!!!

The seemingly incongruous thing about these goofy Silver Age Lois Lane stories is that they were always so well drawn. I think that fact makes them even weirder than modern comics that try too hard for the same effect with intentionally zany art styles.

I wonder what was going through his mind when he was drawing these covers and if alcohol was involved?

The guy was an effing drawing machine. I loved those Schaffenberger Lois issues.
