From JUSTICE LEAGUE #40 Adds Artists For Special 'Darkseid War' Prologue by Chris Arrant, Newsarama ContributorDate: 20 January 2015 Time: 06:18 PM ET 149 76Reddit0Submit0 DC's Justice League series is in a hard sprint leading to this spring's "Darkseid War," and March's Justice League #40 looks to be going from big to bigger. Already solicited as the prologue to "Darkseid War," Newsarama has learned that Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok will be joined by artists Kevin Maguire, Phil Jimenez and Dan Jurgens as they lunge from the effects of the Amazo Virus into this new arc. "[Justice League #40] has, like, a bunch of wonderful artists, and there's a reason for it," Johns tells Newsarama. "And I don't want to spoil it for people. But I'm excited for issue #40 to come out." The original solicitation for Justice League #40 reads: "It’s been building since JUSTICE LEAGUE #1. Now, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and the rest of the DC Universe will come face to face with the two most powerful and dangerous entities in existence when both come for Earth. But why? To what lengths with the League have to go to survive? And what secrets about the League will be revealed?" Johns also talks about his recent social media talk about Mr. Miracle, discussing Scott Free as well as Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Cyborg being characters with "'a lot of focus" in 2015. He also adds there will be "a lot of new characters coming up in 2015." Look for Newsarama's extensive interview soon with Johns and Fabok about what's coming up, as well as this Wednesday's Justice League #38, in which Batman gets superpowers... ...yes, you read the right.

This is one of the many reasons why I don't read JUSTICE LEAGUE anymore because I heard that in Justice League #38 that Batman gets Superpowers (*) (I don't care what he gets) but this comic book is becoming a laughing stock to me and I haven't read any of the Convergence Stuff and I simply care less. I even had some friends to drop me off some of the books and I'm disappointed in DC COMICS treatment of the Justice League Franchise and having said that I'm very sad to see this team taken the turns for the worst. The artwork is very good, but the story and direction of this series is going downhill fast.
(*)
It's a joke - Why give the (Batman) character who is arguably the world's greatest detective and martial artist - Superpowers - it's a travesty of travesties for DC Comics to do such a thing.
