From DC SUPER FRIENDS Return - with BATMAN UNLIMITED - In Animated Films & Shorts by Chris Arrant, Newsarama ContributorDate: 29 January 2015 Time: 05:28 PM ET 1199 3Reddit2Submit0 "Gathered together from the cosmic reaches of the universe – here in this great hall of justice - are the most powerful forces of good ever assembled." That's the line which introduced the classic DC cartoon Super Friends, and those super friends are uniting once more -- thanks to some toys. Variety is reporting that Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is working on a series of 15 three-minute animated shorts inspired by the current Fisher-Price toy line DC Super Friends, taking its name of course from the classic cartoon. In addition, a new animated film titled Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts will be released on home video May 12, inspired on the current Mattel toy line bearing the same name. Warner Bros. will follow that up with a series of 22 two-minute shorts for Batman Unlimited, and then cap it off with a second full-length animated film in the latter half of 2015. “We are excited to continue to forge new ground with our long-time partners Mattel and Fisher-Price to build on the success of these popular toy lines by bringing the play pattern to life through this original content that we will be able to offer across multiple content platforms,” says Brad Globe, president, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, whose division will over see the animation.

Batman Unlimited looks cool. I like the way they are capitalizing on the current popularity of both Arrow and the Flash.
Glad to see the Super Friends return.
I wish they would do another JLA: Adventures dvd. I REALLY enjoyed the one they did with Dawn Star and Karate Kid.

Or some sort of toy promotion? I thought it very strange (But in a good way) to see Dawnstar in the Justice League.

If you watch it, it seems to be a reboot of the Challenge of the Super-Friends. Dawnstar and Karate Kid are the best take yet on the Wendy/Marvin - Zan/Jayna Jr. Super Friend theme.
As far as I know there is no toy line connected with this. The movie left me desperately wanting a sequel. I truly enjoyed it.
