This thread is for people to post their choices of GNs to read if they are going to participate in the Read a Graphic Novel Week event honoring Will Eisner. To start things off, my choice of GN for the event is going to be one of the few GN by Eisner himself I haven't yet read...Minor Miracles.  -M |

I shall be using the week to give meaning to something I've been putting off. See, I read a book series called "Warriors" by Erin Hunter. It's a lengthy (and still growing) series about clans of wild domestic cats and the perils they face and must overcome in order to survive the wild. I have enjoyed it for many years, but a little more than recently, Mrs. Hunter has created some Graphic Novels depicting stories that were never pressed upon in the books themselves. These GNs answered many questions us readers held for characters and their origins or where they disappeared to during events in the main story. But, I've never picked one up. So, for this week coming up, I shall read the first trilogy of these GNs which are entitled:
Ravenpaw's Path: Shattered Peace
Ravenpaw's Path: A Clan in Need
Ravenpaw's Path: The Heart of a Warrior
If time is granted based on my reading speed, I shall also pursue The Graystripe Trilogy:
The Lost Warrior
Warrior's Refuge
Warrior's Return

I'm leaning toward an Eisner reread. The other option may be Tintin.

I reread it last year as part of the Long Halloween event and it held up very well. I think I may have liked it even more than when I originally read it. -M |

That is extremely cool and adorable!! I'm going to PM you about this, so I won't accidentally go off topic again on another Thread! Your reading choice is most excellent, too! As for me, I think I shall switch my choice around as I am finding much easier to locate the Graystripe Trilogy than I am at finding the Ravenpaw Trilogy. Even though I prefer Ravenpaw to Graystripe as characters. (Sorry, Graystripe!) |

I have both V for Vendetta and Road to Perdition waiting to be read for the first time. I also have Doctor Strange: What Is It That Disturbs You, Stephen? though it's not nearly as long as those other two.
We'll see, not sure what I will go with.

I'm interested in participating and was thinking about reading The Incal by Moebius and Jodorowsky. (I got all three Epic trades a few years back on Ebay but still haven't read them yet.)

Very rarely does a week go by where I don't read a Graphic Novel. I'm at the library all the time, and they have a great GN selection, and new stuff coming out all the time.
Right now I have checkd out: "Weapons of Mass Diplomacy" - a French comic about being a speechwriter for a congressman (or whatever the French Equivalent is) during the Iraq War, "Over Easy" about working a sheltered art student getting a job as a waitress in New York in the '70s, and "the Wraith" by horror writer Joe Hill, which is a prequel to his book NOS4A2. He wrote "Locke and Key" which was great, so this should be good.
And I have a couple more, but I forget what they are. One was purple!
