TNT has decided not to move forward with this show, so unless someone else picks it up, it's dead and gone.

Great, now I'll only have my other 30 or so super hero/comic book shows...

My second was that the pilot must have been pretty damn unimpressive for them to have declined a superhero show in this market. My guess is that initial inquiries among potential advertising clients yielded poor results, so they weren't sure they could yield the kind of advertising rates they hoped to get to make the show profitable. A lot of times they will make inquiries before the greenlight a pilot to see if there is even enough initial interest to make it worthwhile. My guess is they didn't get the kind of response they were looking for, so decided to axe it before they put any real money into it. -M

I'm very sad when I read mrp's post when TITANS will not be on TV anymore.

I'm very sad when I read mrp's post when TITANS will not be on TV anymore. They're still on TV, the cartoon version on Cartoon Network still runs, just no live action adventure show-only comedic shorts. And ultimately, that might what have undercut the show in the eyes of advertising execs who TNT would have recruited. -M

I saw that Robin, Starfire, and Raven have all been cast--as well as Hawk and Dove played by Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly. I never heard of the actors chosen for the other characters. Robin: Brenton Thwaites Starfire: Anna Diop Raven: Teagan Croft

I am looking forward to this series more than the Justice League movie. Never followed Hawk & Dove in the comics so don't have any anticipation for their inclusion to the team. If we get Cyborg and Beast Boy I will be very, very happy! I hope we get Trigon, Brother Blood and Blackfire as villains in the series.

So the show is only going to be available on a DC Entertainment streaming network? (much like Star Trek Discovery on CBS all-access). Not sur ehow much of an audience this will reach. I doubt I will subscribe to yet another streaming service just for this show.

They had me at Young Justice Season 3, but a live action Titans series is an extra cherry on top. And throw in that Harley animated series.

I'm not signing up for any new streaming services no matter what the content is until I see what happens with net neutrality and how godawful expensive it will become to access those services under the new paradigm if it is rescinded. I don't want to pay money to sign up for something it may end up costing me more to actually use few months from now with no way for me to control those cost overruns. I'll go without or wait for DVD/blue-ray releases where I have say on the costs before I give a dime to anything new that requires net access to use. -M

The Titans sneak into JLA headquarters. Beast Boy tries to take Batman's sandwich from the refrigerator, which triggers a robo-killer to chase them around. They hide in the locker room and dress themselves as JLA members to fool the robot. Everybody wants to be Batman until they find out out sweaty his cowl smells. Robin takes one for the team and dons it anyway. The robo-killer is initially fooled, but then Cyborg is stumped when the robot asks him which Green Lantern he is. "Ummm... Steve?" turns out not to be an acceptable answer. Cyborg defeats the robot by using the Lantern ring to summon green simulacra of The Golden Girls to pound it into pieces. "You're a pal, and a confidante!" he declares. Fun: A+ DCU Continuity: A+ The dialogue was great too, and full of inside jokes. If the DCU movies were half as entertaining as this twenty minute cartoon, Marvel would not be kicking DC's butt at the cinema.

I work from home on Tuesdays and Fridays, and my 10-year old daughter and I watch a couple of episodes before she gets on the bus for school. Some of the humor is juvenile (fart jokes and the like), but overall, I find myself enjoying it, especially since I get to share the time with her. Plus, it is the show where I heard my all-time favorite Dad joke, which is: Q: Why couldn't you hear the pterodactyl go to the bathroom? A: Because the "p" was silent.
