From Warners Are Working On A Legion Of Superheroes Movie Posted February 3, 2015 by by Rich Johnston Legion_of_Super-Heroes Remember ages ago, when I said there was a Suicide Squad movie in the works. And I had a script? Well that was later made official, even if the script has been rewritten since then – they’re still keeping the codenames-as-callsigns-no-costumes aspect though… Anyway, where was I? Oh yes. Also coming through the pipeline and Warners, and pushed through after the success of Guardians Of The Galaxy, is a Legion Of Superheroes film, being pushed through with an Avengers-Meets-Guardians tag. Based on the long running DC Comics book of the same name, the Legion Of Superheroes film will be set in the far future, with a massive cast of superheroic characters spread out across a galaxy. And the tone is intended to be lighter than other DC superhero movies. It hasn’t been greenlit yet. But it is in serious development….

I might see this if it's done right!

Hope it's based on the Abnett & Lanning version.

I don't like any of DC's previous live action offerings, and have read maybe a half dozen LoSH issues in my life. Yet, for some reason, I'm pretty interested in this.

I've been waiting for this and am thrilled that Warner Brothers is using this property to response to Guardians of the Galaxy.
I'd love to see the Archie Legion, and think it could do pretty well.

Considering that DC can't get the Legion comic right for quite some time, I'm kind of nervous as to how the movie will turn out.

...and if the movies is done wrong, well I guess we can say that they stayed faithful to recent source material.

NO NO NO NO NO NO I see it as the best shot at being popular with the public. Otherwise, my personal pick would be the 5YL LSH but it wouldn't be commercially viable. Any LSH is good LSH as long as it gets to the big screen IMO.

I have high hopes. The problem was not seizing the opportunity of the New 52, and I think that mostly boiled down to politics with Paul Levitz. Ironic that the man that's done the most for the brand in the last 20 years was also the one that hurt it the most in its last iteration. Stuart Moore is writing the Convergence Legion. He's a bankable name and knows science fiction, having written for Heavy Metal, Star Trek, Firestorm, Dark Horse, Annihilation (Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy), Stargate : Atlantis, Transformers, and Ultimate FF, among others, including a few issues of the Legion of Super-Heroes. As an editor he also helmed titles at both Vertigo and Helix for DC. I'd like to see what he could do with the franchise.
