From the DC Comics blog: FIRST LOOK: Brandon Routh as the Atom Tue, 02/03/2015 - 11:59am Author: Tim Beedle When Arrow announced that Brandon Routh would be appearing as Dr. Ray Palmer on the show’s third season, fans knew the announcement was huge. Or rather small. Very, very small. That’s because Ray Palmer is the civilian identity of the Atom in the DC Universe, and over the show’s first eleven Season 3 episodes, we’ve seen Palmer inch ever closer to the discovery that will turn him into the microscopic hero. Well, he’s just taken another step. Today, The CW released the first look image of Ray Palmer in his Atom suit, and in a word, it’s awesome… Arrow -- Image AR315C_ATOM_0001 -- Pictured: -- Photo: Cate Cameron/The CW -- © 2015 The CW Network, LLC. As I said before, the CW needs to become the DC Network.

It's hip and cool and I don't mind this one at all.

Well, compared to how Ray looked in his last Live Action Incarnation..... (oddly enough both Rays do seem to have similar tastes in women (blonde, usually given to saying what they're thinking and realizing it comes out in an awkward or less than appropriate manner)

I would never have thought Brandon Routh would be cast as a superhero ever again. It worked out for Chris Evans.

Overall I like it but the clear plastic visor reminds me of a hockey helmet.

The helmet is the worst thing about the suit -- looks like high tech sports equipment.

It worked out for Chris Evans. Definitely, although I don't think Evans was the problem with the Fantastic Four movies. I don't think Routh was the problem with Superman Returns...

I like it. I also hope the Atom gets a spin-off series.

It does look a bit sporty...reminds me of something outta Batman Beyond, but none the less, I like it I agree the visor is a bit strange, but I expect it is going to be a heads up display....if it is not...needs to go...

Yeah, for me Firestorm should be a shoe in for a spin-off. I notice they have cast a Jason Rusch, so I guess we will be seeing him show up soon.
