Avengers - Patrick Macnee and Diana Rigg
Part 1 of 2  One of the most popular British Imports of Television and I still watch today and I just loved the antics of these two great stars of the sixties. Both of these actors made appearances in the James Bond Movies. Diana Rigg in Majesty Secret Service as the slain wife of 007. Patrick Macnee was James Bond Partner in View for a Kill with Roger Moore.

Same here, with Karen Valentine. If she's the one I'm thinking of, I did have a bit of a childhood crush on her when Room 222 was on tv. Looking at the wiki page, it ran from Sept 1969 to Jan 1974, so I would have been anywhere from 8 to 12 years old. Actually, I don't remember it still being on that far into the 70s, so I wonder if we might not have seen the last season or two in Canada, or at least in Nfld.
Interesting coincidence that both Racquel Welch and Rita Hayworth were of Mexican extraction (I think?) and that each had to change her name to something more acceptably Anglo-sounding, IIRC.
