Not at all man, you've been doing a great job of keeping it tasteful and as long as every else does the same you guys can keep it up.

One of my favorite actress of the 1940's was Lenore Aubert.
She didn't do many movies, but she was famous for being in 2 Abbott & Costello films. "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein" and "Abbott & Costello Meet The Killer, Boris Karloff". She had a very sexy Slovenian accent too.

I meant to mention this on the classic movie thread at the time, but RIP Anita Ekberg, who died just a few weeks ago: One of the most beautiful actresses of all time.

Here's Ruth Roman ... For some reason, I keep seeing her lately. I DVRed The Window off TCM because I thought the one-sentence description looked interesting. And I missed her name in the credits because I was distracted when the movie started. And then all of a sudden, there was Ruth Roman as one of the bad guys! Very nice! The Window is an entertaining flick if you like 75-minute thrillers. And you get to see Bobby Driscoll kill a guy! It's self-defense, but still ... In any case, you gotta love Ruth Roman. She's probably best known for Strangers on a Train.

Since my Photobucket Down ... I decided to do an alternative way of handling this problem - I will be busy for the next two weeks and I will share some of my favorites in a tasteful way starting Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I will do two posts on those days. Sometimes on Saturdays and Sundays - those will be my bonus days.
I will do a bonus post for today from the internet.

Elizabeth TaylorI own these two pictures of Elizabeth Taylor in dazzling red - these pictures were taken in the mid-1950's give and take a few years and she one of Hollywood's most spectacular actresses and one of the legend of her own time. I seen Giant, Raintree County, Cat in Hot Tin Roof, Cleopatra, and host of others films at well. Her career spans four decades of great entertainment and did some television work also - She appeared in Here's Lucy (TV Series) as Elizabeth Taylor - herself in Lucy Meets the Burtons (1970) as her most memorable work on Television. Amazing lady and truly an icon of her times. Change of PlansI will do two more tomorrow.

Great job everyone on keeping the thread classy. I especially like the posts that not only include the pictures, but also a little explanation of why you picked her and what she means to you. Also posters who would like to include some of the classic male stars, that would be cool too.

I saw Yvonne DeCarlo in Criss Cross recently and she was great! It's a pretty sleazy film noir with Burt Lancaster and a lot of it takes place in downtown Los Angeles, which is always a plus for me because I used to live in L.A.
And Elizabeth Taylor was truly awesome! One of my favorite movies EVER is Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and I try to rent it from Netflix every three or four years. It's one of the few movies that I keep from Netflix for a few extra days so I can watch it again before sending it back. (I also keep Yojimbo for a few days and watch it again. I can't think of any others.)
