Esther Williams Movie TrailersBathing Beauty - 1944 Neptune Daughter - 1949 Million Dollar Mermaid - 1952 Dangerous when Wet - 1953 Please watch a couple of these trailers and you can see why I adore her talents of doing pretty much everything under the sun. She was an unique entertainer of the 50's and too bad that she did not make many films as her counterparts and believe me she was gorgeous, lovely, fantastic, and delightful to see. Later in life, she became a Swimwear Designer and did a great job at it. She represented Cole of California one of leading swimwear manufacturer. Cole of California

Million Dollar Mermaid is one of the best movies ever made!
Fiesta, Dangerous When Wet and Take Me Out to the Ballgame are all a heckuva lot of fun as well.
Fiesta gets a lot of points for being weird. Esther is a matador.

DubipR and MG, thanks for all the Gloria Grahame photos. An underrrated actress and she had a style unlike most other actresses. Her essence is captured wonderfully in your photos. I especially like the close-up, she looks so feline!

Ah, Joan Collins --one of my favorites. I recently watched one of her earliest British films, Turn the Key Softly, which has a superb cast featuring two very accomplished and experienced British actresses, Kathleen Harrison and Yvonne Mitchell. Collins, Mitchell and Harrison played women just released from jail. Collins held her own and was quite convincing, not to mention unbelievably stunning.

Wonderful pics of Hedy Lamarr (are there any other kind?!). I'm glad you posted some that were in color. Her look was very influential in film. It's said that blonde Joan Bennett became a brunette because of Hedy; Bennett then parlayed her new brunette new look into a string of iconic film noir roles. And while newcomer Vivien Leigh certainly resembled Margaret Mitchell's Scarlett with her dark hair and light eyes, I'd bet Leigh's resemblance to Lamarr didn't hurt her Hollywood chances either. Margaret Lockwood over in England also sported the Hedy look.

Clark Gable in Gone With the Wind as Rhett ButlerFrom the InternetOne of the most talked about Motion Picture of All-Time ... Made back in 1939 and been a staple of TCM on a yearly basis in a two-part format. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time getting these photos and I've been trying to get Vivian Leigh as Scarlett in this movie for a very long time. Anyway, enjoy this only photo of Clark Gable in this iconic film back in 1939.
