The ultimate rejection for a comic book hero - rejected by his creator! Grant Morrison would have enjoyed this one.

Never seen that Captain Marvel cover before. Very cool! Reminded me immediately of this:
AHH, Eraser Head and The Case Of The Missing Piggy Banks. A Classic and one of my all time favorite Daffy toons.

Oh, shoot. Forgot to switch it to comicdb. Will fix. I look stuff UP on comics.org because their organization is easier with cover thumbnails. I just forgot to switch. **blush**
EDIT: Fixed, thanks for the heads up. I do something similar ; I look up covers in Mikes amazing world of comics and I try to get the actual cover off google. If all else fails , I go to the Grand comics database.

I don't think a headline about someone rubbing someone else out would have the same meaning in today's world. Back then, innocence existed. Today, a twisted mind would laugh at a tagline such as "The Human Eraser Rubs Out The Giant Size Man-Thing"

Also, on the topic of cover reruns/similarities: while the Byrne Superman #10 cover (posted earlier by Jesse412) is well-known as a riff on Swan's Superboy #139 cover (posted by Action Ace), the revelation for me was seeing the very similar composition on the Detective #330 Infantino cover (posted by Prince Hal), which predated the Superboy cover by a few years.

Hope this cover fulfills the condition of Supes and the others rejecting the Titans. At the very least, the elders are strongly chastising the poor kids! www.comics.org doesn't allow you to repost their images elsewhere. It looks right when you post it, but no one else can see it. I'd recommend using comicvine or the Marvel or DC wiki instead.

I thought somebody would notice that. It's a popular trope, so it's no surprise that that the covers of such stories are similar. Don't want to spoil anyone's potential entries, but more than one other Justice Leaguer's title has been graced with very similar compositions...
