So I'm collecting all the Marvel Masterworks Volumes, and I just purchased the OOP Avengers Vol. 10 from Ecampus.com a used textbook place. I paid 57 dollars after shipping, which is a lot of damn money but about half what it goes for on, say, Amazon, or Ebay or Biblio. So what do you think the odds are that this is legitimately for sale, or at least that they'll give me my money back? (Worried Smiley.)

It is probably for sale. If not you'll get your refund, but worth a shot.
I have gotten several very nice things from Paperbackswap.com.
I once got the limited retailer incentive hardcover of Lone Wolf And Cub vol. 1. Cost me a $2 credit, sold it for $40 once I found out only volume one came in hardcover.
I also got a signed limited hardcover of Conan vol. 1 from Dark Horse.

They're charging to be a member now, though, I don't think it's worth the fee for the ocassional gem. @ Reptisaurus - Good Luck... I tried 3 times to order the Black Panther MMW from people to find they didn't really have it.... but one never know's what is sitting on someone's shelf

Really? I haven't paid anything yet.I actually get a TON of trades and graphic novels from there. I'd say I average about one a month. I just got Ghost World off there the other day. But I have only gotten two valuable ones. The rest are still a great deal when you buy your credits in the forums.

After reading it a few times, I decided this thread is not about graphic novels meant to teach object-oriented programming.
Too bad.

I only did actual trades.. and they were pretty good, but they're now making it so you have to pay a small fee (I think it was $15 for the year) to have an account... I got an couple e-mails about it... though I can't say I actually went to the site to investigate.

Huh, I may have to look into that before my account gets suspended.
I used to trade but I found it was cheaper to just buy the credits than it was to ship out an old book. Credits range from $2-$2.50 in the forums. I'm not sure if $15 a year is worth it considering I get maybe ten trades a year from there, but I'd pay for a year just to see how it goes if I had to.

Black Panther Masterworks is a nifty package, though, the best Masterworks volume in terms of special features and overall content, with intros and outros and layouts and behind-the-scenes features. And, yeesh, that is going for a lot. I paid 35-ish-dollars for mine, and then was saddened when I saw it going for way cheaper 6 months later. Now I don't feel so bad. The same site I order from SAYS they have one for 64.00 plus tax, and that's by far the cheapest I've found. I wish they hadn't stopped re-printing the hardcovers in TPB. That way I knew I could get Spider-man vol. 13 in 5 years and 4 months, or Doctor Strange Vol. 5 in 8 years, or etc. I'd assume that they'll reprint all of the McGregor Black Panther stuff in some form before the movie, though. Here's my process for finding out of print trades: Check Amazon, check ebay, do a search on the various used book search aggregators, hit alibris and Biblio separately, hit mycomicshop, - theoretically I guess Mile High might have something, but this has never happened to me - check to see if there are other editions of the book you want that can be purchased cheaper, and do a search for the name of the book plus "cart" and then an ISBN search. Anybody know of anything else I can try?

There's also ABEbooks, if you're hitting Alibris and Biblio, might as well do that, too.

Thank you. I think they're in my search engine aggregators, but it's worth watching the big sites separately. Some newer results (which can be the cheapest!) just don't get themselves aggregated.
I will try Paperback swap as well. I can afford 15 dollars a month.
