The Hall of Justice…
“So the Titans have a turncoat in their ranks?” Sinestro asked with trepidation. “And how are we to know this isn’t some kind of trick?”
“Well for one, did you notice how I showed up so late to the battle?” pointed out the Sportsmaster. “These hypocrites have had me locked in my room for almost a week. I tried following their ridiculous rules and living up to their impossible standards and I just couldn’t do it. I think you guys and I are a lot alike. We’re all misunderstood. Sometimes you have to go to extreme measures to make sure things turn out the way they should.”
“Indeed,” agreed Grodd. “So what can you share with us about the Titans and their parents, the Justice League?” he asked with anticipation.
“Honestly, not much,” the Sportsmaster answered with disappointment. “That idiot Nightvision never gave me access to the computer files and not a single one of them ever bothered to take time to befriend me and share their secret identity. But I’m sure once we get rid of them, it won’t really matter who they are anyways,” he said as he kicked Nightvision’s limp body.
“You talk a good game, Sportsmaster; but you had better be ready to cooperate,” advised Black Manta. “The last person that refused to play ball with Grodd had their mind ransacked and was thrown in to the heart of the Atlantic Ocean.”
“And which hero would that be?” the Sportsmaster asked.
“It wasn’t a hero,” Tala explained, “It was the latest Star Sapphire. She was a fool. She kept trying to resist Grodd’s superior leadership. Isn’t that right, darling?” the sorceress said, veering at Grodd.
“Yes, Tala speaks the truth,” agreed the sinister simian. “Now with you having betrayed the Titans, that certainly racks up some points with us, but tread lightly because if I even get the slightest hint that you are playing us for fools, Bizarro here will render you limb from limb.”
“No,” agreed the monstrosity. “Bizarro put you carefully together like jigsaw puzzle,” laughed the backwards copy of Superman.
“Kid Zoom, Sinestro--gather up the Titans of Justice. They’ll be coming along on our trip back to the past,” ordered Grodd. “Tala, make a containment cell to house them in until we get back into the past.”
“We’re bringing them with us?” Giganta asked, confused.
“Yes! Once were done with our former teammates, we’ll go to the Hall of Justice and kill these whelps in front of their parents before they’re even born!!!” Grodd said with sick delight.
“And what exactly are we going to do to your former teammates?” Minister Blizzard asked, curiously.
Grodd wasted no time in answering his lackey’s question. “Why kill them too, of course…” he smiled, “and in the most painful manner possible.”
Then a surprising voiced asked the next question. “Even me?” It was Priscilla Rich speaking through the mouth of her grandson, the current Cheetah.
The five members of the Legion of Doom from the past stood silent in shock. Either their ears were playing tricks on them or a former ally had returned from the grave.
“I don’t believe it! Priscilla Rich!” Grodd shouted in disbelief. “How is this possible???”
“Let’s just say…my grandson and I are very close, you furry knuckle dragger,” spat Priscilla. “And if you think that my grandson will play any part in your insidious plan to kill me, that super-intelligence you claim to have must be failing you. I don’t think I have to tell you that with his speed, he could cut out your throat before you even had a chance to use those fancy mental powers of yours.”
“You and the others left us for dead, Priscilla,” Grodd pointed out, approaching the Cheetah and squinting his eyes threateningly.
“Luthor pressed the button on the time conveyer. The rest of us were all suffering from the beating we received from these foolish Titans of Justice,” countered Priscilla, glancing at the group of unconscious heroes. “Don’t you remember when Sinestro, Black Manta and I were left behind when we tried to steal that ocean liner years ago? I know what it feels like to be abandoned and I would have never have left the rest of you here in the future if it was up to me.”
“It figures Luthor was the one to act so cowardly,” Grodd said, stroking his chin. “Very well. When we get back to the past, I will personally kill Luthor and take his place as the leader of our old team. You and the rest of the Legion will be spared as long as you don’t try to stop me from killing that bald simpleton. Then we kill the Titans of Justice followed by the Justice League itself!!!” he said as he opened the door to the Hall of Justice arsenal.
“Look at all of these cool weapons,” gasped Kid Zoom in awe as he surveyed the room.
“We don’t have time to shop, you dolt!” Grodd remonstrated, rummaging through the various devices and gadgets and finally finding what he was looking for. “My time conveyer!” he shouted with joy, holding it over his head. As he emerged from the room, he noticed the Cheetah was holding Wonder Man and Wonder Warrior’s unconscious bodies by their necks.
“Cheetah? What do you think you’re doing” Grodd demanded.
The feral beast turned to Grodd and announced (with Priscilla Rich still in control), “I’m not going to wait until we get back to the past to kill these demon-spawns of Woondah Wooman and Woondah Girrrl. I’ll be content with throwing their dead carcasses in front of Woondah Wooman’s past-self. Imagine the suffering she will go through once she finds out they were to be her son and her nephew and she had no chance at saving them! Now my boy, go straight for his jugular!!!” ordered Priscilla to her grandson, as he dropped Wonder Warrior, ready to kill Wonder Man first.

Outside of the Hall of Justice…
A portal of light appeared out of nowhere. Out of it stepped seven people: Power Guy, Nucleus, the Huntress, Green Lantern, Sonic Boom, Junjie Quick, and the Universe of Evil version of Wonder Girl.
The group was so ecstatic to be home, they didn’t notice the Hall of Doom floating above their headquarters.
“I hope we’re in the right place,” Sonic Boom said looking around. “With the luck we’ve had recently, it wouldn’t surprise me if we ended up on the Syndicate of Terror’s earth.”
“Don’t be so paranoid, Didi,” Power Guy said, smiling at his teammate, “Dr. Fate was in the driver’s seat this time.”
“I think Power Guy’s right,” commented the Huntress. “This just smells like home. Speaking of which, I can’t wait to get home, make a hot bubble-bath, and devour about five warm croissants…”
“I think the first thing I’m going to do is go to S.T.A.R. Labs and see if there’s any left-over chronal energy left to study. I know… it sounds nerdy but I just find that stuff fascinating,” Nucleus said, grinning humbly.
“I need to go check on Rapido and see how he’s doing,” Junjie Quick added, massaging his leg muscles for his upcoming run.
“So there really is a good version of my evil sister here?” Wonder Girl asked with a bit of concern.
“Yes, the Amazons are a peace-loving race here,” informed Nucleus. “Don’t get me wrong though. When provoked, they’ve been known to bring a country to its knees but for the most part, they’ve always stood for what’s right.”
“I just can’t wait to use my own battery to charge my ring,” Green Lantern said, staring at his power-ring.
Suddenly, the Huntress looked up and her eyes opened wide. “Uh boys and girls, I don’t think we’re going to be able to resume our normal lives just yet. Look up there!” she shouted, pointing up at the Hall of Doom.
The rest of the “Lost” team looked up in horror as the shadow of the headquarters of their deadliest enemies eclipsed their own.

The home of Niles and Arani Caulder…
I can’t believe my son is dead,” wept the former Celsius. “He was a model, a superhero, and the leader of your team! He had so much going for him.”
The Chief tried his best to pull his wife close in a warm embrace—as much as his withered arms would allow, although he remained silent. With his deteriorating health, this revelation would not help matters.
“I’m sorry we didn’t tell you sooner but we weren’t sure until recently,” Lukas Driscoll said glumly, “and we certainly wouldn’t have wanted you to panic for nothing in case we were wrong.” He stood thoughtfully for a moment, and added, “And we COULD be wrong. He is immortal, after all, isn’t he?”
“As I am, too,” sniffled Arani, dabbing at her eyes. “What are his last known whereabouts? Do you know how she…” She couldn’t bring herself to say the word “killed,” realizing that the young man was right. After all, she too was immortal, and proved that by coming back after being immolated in the Invasion. “How had she defeated him? And where did it happen?”
“All we know is that she did,” was his answer. “But the other Titans will get an answer from her, now that she’s no longer under the Floronic Man’s control.”
Just then, on the large television in the room, a special new bulletin came on. “This is Cathrine Grant reporting live for WGBS News here in Metropolis. Another tragedy appears to have struck the young group of heroes known as the Titans of Justice. As you can see from our footage, the Hall of Doom floats above the ransacked Hall of Justice. How the Legion of Doom got past the Titans’ force-field is a mystery right now. We can only hope the young heroes are holding their own against this latest team of super-villains. More to come as this story develops.”
“Good Lord!” exclaimed Lukas in horror. “I’m sorry Mr. and Mrs. Caulder but I’ve got to try and help my friends. Please call me if you have any more questions about your son,” he said as he about to rush off. He had just resigned from the Titans, but knew that he could not abandon his friends.
“Wait…” requested Arani, grabbing his shoulder.
