Titans of Justice Unlimited Chapter 18 – “Terror From The Multiverse Part 2”

New Earth, Aboard the Javelin…
Power Guy sat at the controls now. He wanted to drop off as many of the Global Guardians as he could before continuing his search. He’d agreed to have five of the Guardians stick around with the Titans, since Power Guy knew that a lot of his own team were out on missions.
Power Guy eagerly accepted those that Commander Steel left with him. Ice Warrior, Flame Fury, Rocket Red #9, Crimson Fox and Rising Sun. The five heroes had been in the news plenty. Ice Warrior was perhaps the one with the most experience, Rocket Red with the most training. The others were not as well known as they weren’t part of the earliest drafts of the team.
Power Storm and the Arachnid had remained on the Javelin, Power Storm suggesting only that they picked up one of the other members to accompany them, but Power Guy had a different strategy in mind. He was heading towards Keystone City.
Power Guy had found some sort of interference in the Javelin. The communicators had suddenly gone down, and he didn’t have the patience to go see Queen Bee about getting them fixed. He wanted to get the missing Titans found this time, without enough time passing that some would assume the missing Titans to be dead. This wouldn’t be another ‘lost team’ disaster. He wouldn’t let that happen again.

Earth-2, the Headquarters of Injustice Unlimited…
The Injustice Unlimited team sat at a round table with their team names carved into it. The villains of Earth-2 sighed that had been beaten again. They had however, found something amazingly new and intriguing.
Injustice Unlimited was made up of Icicle, Hazard, Tigress and Harlequin. They were villains to Infinity Inc. and had been badly beaten just that day. That was before they met the Syndicate of Terror.
The Syndicate had brought seven new heroes to their world, to fight them and win. They promised they’d send Infinity Inc. to their world when they were done, so Injustice Unlimited could go wild.
The Syndicate lied. They instead tied up the members of Injustice Unlimited, strapped a time bomb to each member, and left a message for the Infinitors, hoping they were goody-goodies.

Earth-2, Gotham City…
Nightvision was hopping around the rooftops, making his way between buildings, and moving carefully. He had found nothing truly suspicious, and was far too anxious to try and accept ‘alternate Earth’. After all, he found it hard to believe as this was his first journey to an alternate world.
He saw a bright light in the distance. Something for him to check out. He moved around, and kept moving until he got close to it. His eyes started to blur, and he realized he needed to close them before he was temporarily blinded.
A flurry of kicks and punches hit him, Nightvision wasn’t even able to dodge one. He found himself falling off of a building, and he was lucky enough to land on the roof of a tall bus. The pain was intense, but it wasn’t what preoccupied Nightvision. No, he was preoccupied with whoever managed to actually do that to him. Make him slip up like a real moron.
He only hoped the others hadn’t encountered something like that.

New Earth, Aboard the Javelin, Rapidly Approaching Keystone City…
Power Guy, Power Storm, the Arachnid, and five of the Global Guardians were preparing to meet with Wally West. Their communicators were surprisingly down, and Power Guy’s plan was to meet with the Flash and have him send them to an alternate Earth. He discovered a way back before, so Power Guy assumed he could do so again.
As the Javelin touched down, it found itself at the Flash Museum. Power Guy looked to the team assembled. The Global Guardians represented various nations, and each had a wealth of experience, according to Commander Steel.
Kid Comet had complimented Rocket Red #9 a lot in his report on the mission that led to a confrontation between the Titans West and the Global Guardians a while back. Starman and Arachnid had gotten along well with Ice Warrior since they talked while dropping by the Super-Max to visit Hector Hammond.
Power Guy wasn’t sure himself. He gladly accepted the help, but he didn’t especially want added weight to his mission to retrieve his friends.
“So Ice, like I was saying,” The Arachnid voice carried to Power Guy’s sensitive hearing. “Everything’s gotten weird. One of my new ‘teammates’ thinks I’m gay. Me. With Spaceman, no less.”
“Ha! That’s priceless. You guys couldn’t go one day even pretending to be a gay couple.” Ice Warrior chuckled. He could barely contain his laughter at the Arachnid’s predicament.
“Is that a bet?” The Arachnid asked.
“Titans, Guardians, move out.” Power Guy commanded, exiting the Javelin, followed closely by the two teams.
“Why didn’t we take the Silverstreak?” The Arachnid muttered.

Earth-2, Gotham City…
Wonder Warrior had finally managed to awaken his fellow displaced teammates. Starman was massaging his aching neck, and talking to Hawkgirl. Green Lantern was helping Nucleus to his feet.
The group was already aware of both Wonder Girl and Nightvision speeding off to do their own thing but were more willing to wait for them to come back before they started figuring out what to do next.
They weren’t aware of a tiny Miniscule hiding in one of Hawkgirl’s feathers. He was already signaling in his teammates in the Syndicate of Terror. No-one was aware of this and they were still far too groggy to understand their surroundings fully.
“That stuff hurts more than the Chancellor using my ring on me.” Starman laughed.
“The ‘Chancellor’?” Hawkgirl interrogated. “What do you mean the ‘Chancellor?”
“The High-Chancellor, the dictator of Thanagar, the bozo stole my ring, an’ used it against me. Thankfully I took him down, with my trusty assistant.” Starman laughed, “The guy went down.”
“I know you!” Hawkgirl screamed, she grinned ear to ear, “You’re one of them. The saviors! You freed my people from the High-Chancellor’s iron-fist! You and another. You disappeared so quickly, I didn’t get a good look at you.”
“The Arachnid helped, a lot.” Starman exaggerated. “I got Zeta-Beamed home. Sorry you didn’t get a chance to thank me, but I did what I needed to do.”
“Hey group, I think my vision’s shot, because I think I see someone falling out of the sky.” Green Lantern groggily said he was still feeling the after-effects of the multiverse hopping.
“That’s Wonder Girl!” Wonder Warrior yelled as he pushed himself into the sky, and rocketed to the falling ‘evil’ version of his mother. He had formed a big brother role to her, and didn’t want to see her harmed.
He managed to grab Wonder Girl in mid air, and found her attacker. He instantly knew who was behind this. “Ultra Girl,” he said through gritted teeth, “You just made a huge mistake!”

Below Wonder Warrior, Earth- 2, Gotham City…
Green Lantern, Starman, Nucleus and Hawkgirl had just discovered Miniscule, who laughed as he shrunk before them. Nucleus quickly followed suit, deciding to track down the small spy who seemed like a twisted mirror version of himself.
The ground beneath the Titans shook as Power Ring erupted from the sewers, with Raptor wrapped around him, he clearly was more interested in her, as they rocked back and forth lewdly in front of their positive matter counterparts.
“Looks like I’ve got someone to argue faith with.” Power Ring chuckled as he looked at his bald counterpart. Power Ring already laughed at the irony of their faith being the strongest difference between them.
Cosmos appeared in full as well, with Avatar floating beside him.
“As much as I truly hate the idea, I thought you Titans should know, this is a fair fight, unlike the injustice served to my Syndicate last time we fought.” Avatar sneered. “Now I must join my trophy before my sissy doppelganger bruises her.” Avatar laughed, rocketing away from the scene. Leaving the three Titans facing their twisted selves.
Green Lantern was the first to react. “Are we intruding on your world?” he asked, simply, not wanting a fight. He didn’t believe it solved anything. He looked at his long-haired double and smiled. “Listen, if we could leave, we would but we don’t even know how we got here.” Green Lantern smiled.
“Shut up loser.” Power Ring sneered, “My dark lord demands sin, so here it is, baby.” A green demonic fist slammed into Green Lantern, taking him to the nearest wall, and making an imprint on it.
“You can’t do that to him!” Hawkgirl yelled, finding her counterpart taking an axe to her head. The young heroine ducked, and slammed her mace into her doppelganger, but was more surprised than anything when she saw Starman fight his double.

New Earth, The Flash Museum…
“Mister West, I’m glad we caught you.” Power Guy smiled, looking at the famous speedster, who was now just a curator at the Museum, despite the fact Wally hasn’t aged much, he was much more mature, and was looking after the legacy.
The Flash Museum had a room dedicated to Mas Y Menos, to Rapido/Velocity, and a room dedicated to his own children. Wally had never been more organized. “Power Guy, I don’t run anymore. I’ve run my race you’ll find that out too. Sometimes you need to pass things on. I might be able to get you to another world, but I’m not going with you.”
“But, you’d be such a great asset to the team.” Power Guy said, looking at the senior hero.
“No. I’ll let you use the Cosmic Treadmill though, maybe power it up, but I won’t do anything else.”
“Okay then, sir.” Power Guy said, he seemed disappointed, but knew that he couldn’t change the former Flash’s opinion.
“The Global Guardians and the ToJ are ready and willing, Mister West…” Power Guy said, ready to go and help his friends. He looked at his two teammates, and the strangers who were willing to tag along. He wasn’t sure about the Global Guardians, but he trusted them.

Earth-2, Gotham City…
“Gee, ‘son’ it looks like you got us in a load of bull now.” Wonder Girl angrily said, her guard up as she saw Ultra Girl ready to start swinging. “I’m so lucky I came to your universe.”
“You’re not exactly helping matters.” Wonder Warrior said, disgruntled with his bratty ‘mother’. “These two are from some demented dimension. They were sent packing a while back. I don’t know how they brought us here, but it had to be them.”
“You’re not as stupid as you look, Chris.” Avatar sneered, punching his positive matter self in the jaw.
Wonder Warrior took the hit, and rubbed his jaw. He looked around, realizing that this world negated any winning effects from taking place like last time. His last thought on the matter was thus; “d**n!”
