Dr. Light’s secret hideout…



Sargona was the first to wake up. Her head pounded and she strained to focus her vision. She could see what appeared to be stone walls and flickering light. “Dr. Light…” she thought. “The others…where are they?” Her eyes darted and she realized she was hanging upside down. Surrounding her, she saw Jemstone, Sonic Boom, Huntress, Lady Light, and Trickshot. Each them were hanging upside down, spread-eagle, and held in stasis by some sort of light. She started to say something to release them all, but realized her mouth was gagged.



“I knew you’d wake up first, Miss Ponytail.” Dr. Light said, emerging from the shadows. So sorry to stuff that entire trash bag in your mouth and duct tape it shut. Even though I have all of this power, I still find some of my old methods of restraint so much more effective. Now, now don’t think you’re special. Sonic Canary over there has the same thing. I bet that throat of hers can do more than release that Canary Cry, if you know what I mean, heh heh.”

Sargona shut her eyes and tried to remain calm. Dr. Light was disgusting. He had taken his shirt off revealing a young muscular, sweaty torso covered in thick dark hair. She could smell his body odor and nearly gagged as he brushed passed her.

He walked around to each girl, slapping her across the face until she stirred. “Wake up, cows. Time for the party to start“, he said as he played with his chest hair. He walked over to the Huntress and rubbed her thighs. “Nice and creamy.” he commented.

The Huntress realized the danger she and her friends were in. Dr. Light was a sadistic rapist with no regard for women whatsoever. She knew she had to stall him somehow.



“So, how did you do it, Light? How did you turn back the hands of time?” she asked.

“I found my own fountain of youth, hot stuff. Wanna skinny dip with me?” he laughed as he slapped her behind.



“You know our friends will find us, you pervert.” Jemstone shouted. She was trying everything she could do manipulate any sound waves or the light that held her prisoner to no avail.

“Give it up poptart. My powers are furnished by ol’ Scratch himself. You can’t do a d**n thing but wait your turn. I’m saving you for last. You humiliated me a few months back. DO YOU REMEMBER!?” he screamed, getting in her face. She nearly vomited from his stench. “Yeah, I got something special for you. I think I’ll pull your eyeballs out and skull fu--”



“DR. LIGHT!” Lady Light shouted. “Make it easy on yourself and surrender. Our friends will be here any minute. Our communicators--”

“ARE smashed! I made sure of that. I even dumped them in the ocean, so NO they won’t be finding you.”



Sonic Boom was unable to speak as she was gagged like Sargona. She silently prayed that the guys were unhurt and on their way somehow. She glanced over at Trickshot. “If Light does anything to her…oh God, she’s so innocent. Please, please get us out of this.” She thought as she shut her eyes to hold back tears. At this moment she wasn’t Sonic Boom super heroine, she was a woman in fear of the most deplorable act a man could inflict on a woman.

Hours earlier…

Horrified onlookers screamed helplessly as the debris from the building hurled towards the three heroes. Power Guy opened one eye and lifted his head. His eyes widened as he saw tons of concrete and other building materials about to smash into him and his friends. With lightning speed he spread his cape and covered Green Lantern and Wonder Man as the debris covered them.



The assembled crowd waited with baited breath. There was no movement for several minutes and some of them hung their heads.

Suddenly Power Guy burst through the rubble and gasped for air. He stepped from the debris and helped his teammates to their
feet.



“What happened?” Wonder Man asked as he rubbed his head.

‘The girls…where are they? Green Lantern asked. “Were they in the rubble…oh no…”

Power Guy used his x-ray vision. “No, thank Rao. It was just us.” he said with concern.

‘Wonder Man!” came a voice with an Australian accent.

“Who is that?” Green Lantern asked.

“It’s cool. He’s a friend.” Wonder Man replied. ‘Murray, were you here? Did you see what happened?”

“I did mate, and it’s bad. That guy, Dr. Light nearly killed you. He took Jem and the other ladies.”

“He did, I saw it all from the ocean. He flew overhead--Power Guy he was as fast as you.” Whirlpool said, rejoining his friends.



“Took them? We have to find them--we have to hurry, if he hurts Sonic Boom, I’ll…” Green Lantern muttered pacing, his ring glowing an intense shade green.

“We’ll find them. The girls are among the toughest in the group. They can handle themselves until we get there.” Power Guy said, placing a hand on Green Lantern’s shoulder. He hoped he sounded reassuring, knowing full well what his teammates feared the most. Dr. Light was notorious as a rapist and abuser of women.

“I’m trying Jemstone’s communicator. All I get is static.” Wonder Man said.



“I found these…or I should say Topo found them.” Whirlpool said. “Communicators all busted up.”

Murray walked over to Wonder Man. ‘Scott, I was there when Dr. Light tangled with Jerrica. If he..” he stopped himself as his eyes teared up.

“Murray, you have my word as the heir to the royal throne of Paradise Island….if he hurts Jerrica, you and I will kill him together.”

Within a few minutes, the Titans had reassembled at the Hall of Justice. Power Guy sent out an emergency signal for all available members to attend. In addition to himself, Wonder Man, Green Lantern, and Whirlpool, Kid Comet, the Arachnid, Phantom Lady, Hawkgirl, Starman, Nightvision, Nucleus, and Hawk Warrior were in attendance.



“We’re wasting time! We should be out looking for them!” Arachnid shouted. “This is crazy, just sitting here!”



“Shhh, Arachnid. Now is not the time for an exhibition.” Hawkgirl whispered.

“Believe me, Arachnid. I agree, but we don’t know where to look.” Wonder Man said entering the meeting room with a pretty redhead.

‘Lilith!” Power Guy shouted.



“Hi Vince.” She said, giving the Kryptonian powerhouse a hug. “Thank goodness I was in the country with my husband. He’s going to be touring with Jem later this month, you know.”

“If anyone can tell us where to look, it’s Lilith.” Wonder Man said.

“Mrs. Terzano?” Nucleus began.



“Please call me Lilith.”

“Lilith, if you can figure out where they are I can travel through the phone lines or even cable wires and be there within minutes.” he replied.


“I’ll do my best. Now, everyone be very quiet. Think of your missing friends.” Lilith said as her eyes rolled back in her head. All of the assembled Titans thought of the captive women. Green Lantern held back tears, wondering if Di Di was already dead. How would he tell Dark Arrow?

Moments passed and suddenly Lilith’s eyes popped open and her nose gushed blood. She gasped for air.

‘Lilith! LILITH!” Wonder Man said as he rushed to the pretty psychic’s side.

“I….I need a moment. I’ve never…..never encountered something so foul….so vile.”

Power Guy could feel his stomach sink. He and the Huntress were close….closer than ever plus he was still carrying a torch for Sargona and he dreaded hearing what Lilith had to say.



“Here, drink this.” Kid Comet said, handing Lilith a glass of water.

“Thanks. You all must hurry. What he plans on doing….it’s awful.” Lilith said, shaking her head.



‘Tell us Lilith, tell us where to go.” Phantom Lady urged.

Nightvision, who had been quiet up to this point, blurted out, “Get it together Lilith. Every moment sitting here is a wasted moment!” The others knew how worried he must be about the Huntress, whom he considered a sister.



“I saw a couple of places…..one nearby……one faraway. An old farmhouse…..so much death and agony there.”

‘Oh God…” Starman gasped.

“The girls…your teammates….all alive….so far. But what he’s done to other women…”Lilith doubled over and grabbed her knees.



Hawk Warrior stood up and offered Lilith his chair. ‘Take it easy, take a deep breath.” he said. His deep voice soothing the troubled woman.


“Happy Harbor….that’s where he is.” she said looking at the Titans.

‘What are waiting for? Let’s go!” Hawkgirl said.

“See you guys there. Hopefully there aren’t that many abandoned farms in Happy Harbor. And I’m sure there’s a phone line nearby. Hurry, if I get there first I have a feeling it’s going to take all us to stop Light.” Nucleus said, shrinking down so tiny that the others couldn’t see him.

The Titans all prepared to head to Happy Harbor. Power Guy, Starman, and Green Lantern took off flying so fast that the back draft knocked Phantom Lady down. Starman kept the pace with them and could tell his two friends were very worried. He tried to think of something reassuring to say, but knew no words could express his concern.

“I can take some in my jet! Lilith, will you come too?” Wonder Man asked.

‘Of course. The closer we get, the more accurate my ESP will be.”

The other Titans boarded the javelin and prayed on the flight to Happy Harbor. Green Lantern asked Kid Comet to contact Dark Arrow. He was away in Kosovo assisting with a new recreation program for at risk youth. Jemstone’s sister Kimber, who was now a United Nations ambassador had asked him to come since one of the features was an archery course.



“What the hell do you mean Dr. Light has my sister!?” the angry archer demanded. “Trickshot too?”

“Along with Jemstone, the Huntress, Lady Light, and Sargona.” Kid Comet replied.

“d**n it! I should have been there for her. If he--”

“Don’t worry. If he has harmed any of them, he has an army of us to face.” Kid Comet said quietly.

“I am getting on the first plane home. If only there wasn‘t that atmospheric disturbance, I could just use the Hall‘s teleport system and be there in two minutes. Comet, please keep me posted.”

“I will. We’re all praying for the girls. If anything has happened, well….I’m praying that it hasn’t.” Kid Comet said, shutting off his communicator.

“It’s bad. I can tell.” Hawk Warrior said, gazing out the window. “Dr. Light should have been dealt with years ago. Carter Hall told me all about what Zatanna did to Dr. Light.”

“They thought they ‘fixed’ him. Hawkgirl offered.

Just then, Phantom Lady’s communicator went off. It was Starman.



“PL, tell whoever’s piloting the javelin to step on it. Green Lantern and Power Guy just took off. I was keeping up with them, but I think I was slowing them down. They looked really mad. Step on it in case we need to talk them down…….depending on what we find.” Starman said.

“No problem Starman. I’ll radio Wonder Man as well.” Phantom Lady said. “Whatever happened to small time thieves and villains with bizarre devices?” the buxom brunette asked. “In my day, we didn’t really fight that many types like Dr. Light.” she said, suddenly uncomfortable in her revealing costume.

Aboard the invisible jet Wonder Man, Lilith, Nightvision, and Whirlpool sat in silence. Lilith sat up front next to the young man she had watched grow into a true hero.

“Scott?” she said quietly.

‘Yeah?”

“I know your worries and the future you want with Jerrica. When I went into my trance, I saw her. She’s ok. He hasn’t touched her.”

“Thanks Lilith.” he leaned over and kissed her on the cheek.

Back in the Dr. Light’s hideout, he paced around the girls making obscene gestures at each one. Each thing he said was more disgusting than the last. He walked over to Lady Light.

“You know, your mom and I had quite a time. I had never had an Asian before. You might be mine….now that would be a first too, if I decided to…”

Before he could finish, Lady Light spit into his face.

‘Pig! I know my father and you are not him! What kind of monster are you! Have you no morals!? Are you that corrupt!? Pig! PIG!!!” she screamed.

‘Don’t agitate him!” the Huntress thought, trying to figure out what to do.

“I think you’ll be first my little sushi roll since you’re all fired up.” Dr. Light smirked as he licked the spit from his face. He stuck his finger in his mouth and started jabbing Lady Light in the neck. She started coughing and gasping for air. “Oh you’ll be gasping alright, lady. This is going to be fun. He said as he started undoing his belt.

“Listen you freak! What’s this all about anyway? Can’t get a date the normal way? Isn’t there a dating service for super villains?” Trickshot shouted.

Dr. Light turned around and walked over to the daughter of Roy Harper. “The shy little wall flower finally speaks?”

“Lian, shut up!” Sonic Boom thought to herself.

“I learned about jerks like you in a psychology class. My mom told me about jerks like you too. What are you trying to make up for? Do you come up short? I bet you have to drive a big car too.” Trickshot goaded the monster. Much like her father, sometimes Lian Harper didn’t know when to be quiet.




‘What about you little urchin? You have a nice figure….nice mouth. You’re cute….young. Heyyyy! I bet you’re still untouched…..like a ripe cherry, just waiting to be picked.” he said, as he placed his hands on her cheeks. He kneeled down and their eyes locked. Trickshot saw no trace of humanity in his eyes and regretted running her mouth.

“Yeah….yeah…..you. You’re first. Sorry Light Lady. You’ll be sloppy seconds.”

“No! Leave her alone!” Huntress and Jemstone pleaded.

“Both of you, shut up!” Dr. Light said blasting the two of them with a bolt of light rendering them unconscious.

Sargona and Sonic Boom’s eyes widened in horror as Dr. Light gestured with his hands at Trickshot. She levitated through the air and dropped onto the muddy wet floor. For a brief moment she was free, but suddenly found her arms restrained above her head by Light‘s power blasts. It was painfully clear what Dr. Light’s intentions were.

Trickshot was horrified as Dr. Light kneeled down beside her. His foul breath, covering her face.

“I won’t lie. This is going to hurt.” he smiled as he licked her neck.

Lady Light turned her head as Trickshot’s screams filled her ears and echoed through the house.
