Last Time In Super Friends:
The final confrontation with the Fearsome Five began! Power Lad fought Mammoth head on, White Wraith defeated the ever powerful Hazard, and Huntress and Ravager went toe-to-toe! Now that their first adventure is over, the Super Friends have decided to relax…but will their lives stay quiet for long? You bet they won’t!
Brittany Bucierri cried as she ran from a mob of people waving burning branches above their heads, shouting curses and throwing rocks at her tall frame. She wrapped her brown cloak around her and pushed the hood over her head. She tried to pick up her pace but she was exhausted, and eventually the crowd of people would catch up with her and kill her.
“Witch!” somebody shouted angrily, tossing a rock that hit Brittany in her spine.
“Freak! Murdering freak!” another person screamed, this time throwing their glowing branch at the girl. The branch snagged her cloak and suddenly it was ablaze. Brittany jumped as she tossed the cloak away. Before she could continue her escape, the crowd managed to surround her in a circle.
A tall, intimidating woman stepped forward, and spat at the girls foot.
“You evil little cow! I regret ever giving birth to you.”
“Mother…I had to do it! He deserved it…they all did!”
“I wish you would die!”
Britanny glared at her mother ruthlessly, whose cheekbones seemed to be non-existant. Without warning, Brittany flung her hands towards her mother, making her scream as her slender frame suddenly began to distort. The crowd all stood back as Mrs. Bucierri seemed to slither into Brittany’s palms, disappearing from view.
“You’re in there, now, mother! Now join my father in that realm of evil, where you can both rot in hell!”
“What is she talking about?” Somebody muttered. “The girl’s insane!”
Britanny screamed, flinging her hands forward again, this time concentrating harder as the lynch mob all began to warp. After a minute of screams and apologies, the once threatening crowd was now gone forever…

The Hall of Justice…
“I’m just saying that a clubhouse would be cool…”
Power Lad, Wonder Girl and Whirlpool were sat in the Hall of Justice’s lounge, discussing the possibility of a Super Friends headquarters. Whilst Power Lad was enthusiastic about his latest idea, Whirlpool and Wonder Girl weren’t as excited.
“Why would I want to be in the same building as you all the time?” Wonder Girl said rudely, painting her nails. “I think I’d die from being annoyed too much.”
“Also, what are the chances of Power Guy actually giving us permission to have our own headquarters? One, we’d have loads of responsibility, and two, we’re still in the early days. We need to build our reputation first!” Whirlpool added.
“That’s what I’m saying…” Power Lad interrupted, “we could use our own headquarters to raise our profile and to show we’re responsible young adults!”
“In your case, it’s more like an old toddler,” Wonder Girl complained, “always whining about something or shouting about someone…”
The group discussion was put to an end as Huntress teleported into the Hall, with two very excited purple-clad teenagers behind her.
“I know them…” Whirlpool stood up, examining the pair. “Wait, Power Lad, aren’t they those two brats that got us turned into vampires by that vampire lady…Vampirus?”
“No,” Power Lad choked, peering over his shoulder, “it can’t be!”
The boys turned to each other and said in unison, “not them!”
“Guys, round up the team,” Huntress smiled, “I have a very special announcement to make!”

“Introducing your new team-mates, Jan and Zayna!” Huntress grinned, as the Super Friends looked at their newest members.
“Actually, it’s Zan and Jayna,” Zan pointed out, whispering into Huntress’ ear.
“Ah yes,” she smiled nervously, “slip of the tongue…”
“We also bought along our pet space-monkey, Gleek!” Jayna smiled, as the small, blue monkey skipped into view from behind her. The Super Friends stared on silently, taking in the three odd superheroes before them.
“No way. The Wonder Twins?” Bulletboy said nervously.
“And I thought the team was bad as it was,” Air Wave whispered, as Zan shook his hand gleefully.
“We’re doomed. We’re officially doomed,” Wonder Girl said, putting on a fake smile as Jayna hugged her tightly.
“It’s so corny it’s unreal,” Kai-Ro muttered as he waved to Gleek.
Hawkgirl sighed to herself as the Wonder Twins stepped back, smiling at their team-mates.
“So what, all they can do is smile?” Power Lad pointed out, creating a few giggles from the team.
“Actually, Jayna can take the shape of any animal she can imagine!” Zan smiled.
“And Zan can take any form of water he wants to,” Jayna said, putting a hand around her brother.
“Gleek!” Gleek shouted.
“Oh, how could we forget Gleek! He has a prehensile tail!” Zan said, stroking the pet monkey.
Huntress looked on awkwardly. She knew instantly that the Super Friends would not be thrilled about working with the Wonder Twins all too much. Trying to break the uncomfortable silence, she stepped forward and addressed the team.
“Well, uhh, I was hoping you could take the Wonder Twins on a mission with you! They’ll be joining you from time to time for some experience and it would be very informative for them to see other superheroes their age in action.”
“Awesome, ok…we can do that!” Stellar smiled, leading the group to the monitors. “Now then, let’s see who we have on the good old wanted list.”
Stellar scrolled through the list of villains currently causing havoc around Earth. He frowned as almost every villain had been marked with “taken” - other superheroes were already on the job. He came to the bottom of the list, with a picture of an unknown girl with vivid green hair.
“Her villain identity is unknown, as are her powers..she’s currently going crazy in Michigan,” Stellar explained.
“Great! Everybody get on board the Javelin,” Huntress instructed.
“Can I say it this time?” Wonder Girl pleaded to Whirlpool, as the group all ran to the hangar.
“Fine…” he sighed, at the delight of the pint-sized powerhouse.
“Super Friends, GO!”

Inside the Javelin, the Super Friends were preparing for their attack on their enemy.
“So we don’t know anything about her?” Totem asked from her seat behind Huntress.
“No, but she’s causing a problem. From these CCTV surveillance video tapes, all she can do is create these force fields and make people faint,” Huntress replied, concentrating on the tapes that were playing in the Javelin.
“Aww man, it isn’t another ‘Prince Vertigo’, is it?” Power Lad whined, folding his arms. “Too easy!”
In the back of the jet, Bulletboy was busy fitting his Gravity Regulator Helmet on his head.
“I just hope I stay awake during this mission,” he explained to Stellar, who was admiring his muscles proudly. The All-American Hero grinned as he grabbed his mask.
“Bulletboy, you’ll be fine! Just watch out for giant support beams!”
“Oh haha,” Bulletboy replied sarcastically, “make fun of me! I’m lucky to be alive!”
“Stop worrying, dude,” Stellar reassured once more. “Just keep your cool and pretend you’re in Fawcett City!”
Bulletboy breathed out and nodded, determined to do his best.
“Alright guys, we’re closing in!” Air Wave shouted from the front of the jet. “Get your belts on!”
“Okay, hang on,” Hawkgirl replied, making her way to her seat, “just let me get - ARGH!”
Hawkgirl screamed as the plane jerked forward, causing her to fall forwards and land in Whirlpool’s lap.
“Sorry about that, Hawkgirl,” Air Wave said, laughing nervously. Whirlpool grinned as the embarrassed warrior pushed herself out of Whirlpool’s seat.
“Wow Hawkgirl, if you were that interested, you could have just said so,” he smirked, earning a high-five from Power Lad.
“Listen up, you clownfish!” Hawkgirl threatened, leaning in and grabbing the boys throat. She picked him up and shoved him into a wall, pushing her face right into his. “Make any snide comments like that again and I’ll make sure the piranhas get their fair share of Atlantean FLESH!”
Whirlpool gulped as Hawkgirl let go as the jet landed on the ground after a difficult landing.
“Yikes, she’s got a chip on her shoulder,” Whirlpool commented to Power Lad as they left the jet.
“You know, I think I know her problem,” Power Lad said, “that little bird hasn’t been getting her share of boyfriends!”
Whirlpool sighed as Power Lad flew off in the direction of Wonder Girl. As he followed the group towards the green-haired girl, he wondered to himself…was Power Lad right about something for once?
“Whirlpool, come on,” Huntress said. Whirlpool came back to his senses and followed his mentor outside.
The Super Friends ran through a grassy park, dodging people screaming and crying for mercy as they ran away.
“Whoever she is, she knows how to make an impact,” Zan pointed out, “we should concentrate to our full potential!”
“Yeah, whatever,” Wonder Girl intervened, flying ahead. She stopped and flew back to the team.
“Huntress, she’s just over there…hurry!”
Huntress sprinted ahead until the villain was in her sights. She was surprised to see she was just younger than herself.
“Excuse me, lady, we are the Super Friends, working for the Titans of Justice -”
“I know who you are,” the girl said coldly, walking forward. Kai-Ro gulped at her icy tone.
“I am Disturbia. I can harness your worst nightmares. I can make you enter a coma of fear. I can -”
“Yeah, yeah!” Power Lad shouted. “Look, we’re gonna make this easy. Just let us call the police and we’ll get you locked up!”
“That is not an option,” Disturbia replied. “I am Disturbia and nobody can stop me!”
“All right then, I guess we‘ll have to do this the hard way,” Huntress concluded, running forward. “Don’t say we didn’t warn you!”
Disturbia laughed as Huntress ran forward, grabbing a Batarang from her belt. She caught her eye and in a matter of nanoseconds, the Dark Knight’s daughter was huddled on the floor like a baby, screaming.
“Bill! No, Bill! STOP IT! DON’T KILL HIM!”
“Oh my god, what’s up with her?” Totem asked, calling upon the powers of a cheetah to run to her mentor. She grabbed her shoulder and cried into her neck, all the time muttering “Bill Jensen” under her breath.
“It’s ok, girl,” Totem comforted, albeit uncomfortably.
“We’re gonna need a better plan,” Whirlpool said, “it looks like Huntress made eye contact with her, so just don’t look at her!”
“I’ll tell you what that girl needs,” Wonder Girl shouted, “a good beating!”
“NO!” Whirlpool shouted as Wonder Girl zoomed ahead, ready to attack the maniac. The psycho dodged her with ease. Stellar used his Cosmic Converter Belt to zap her with an energy bolt but she used her force-field to deflect the attack, which knocked Totem in the back. She fell on top of Huntress, out cold.
“Damnit,” Bulletboy cursed, flying forward. “Maybe a few bullets to the arms might stop her!” Bulletboy fired the bullets from his hands, but they too bounced off the force-field. “WHAT?”
“Newbie mistake, pointy-head,” Power Lad said, “the only way we’re gonna get through that is with pure force!” The protégé of Power Guy gritted his teeth as he slammed against the force-field, sending a ripple around it. However, it did not budge. “Maybe once more!”
“FOOL!” Disturbia shouted, catching eye contact with Power Lad. The boy yelped as he fell to the ground, writhing around like an injured mouse. “NO! No, I love you, please! Please, don’t! Please, I love you, Donn-” Power Lad passed out from his fear, causing a few blank faces.
“Who’s Don?” Air Wave asked. Disturbia laughed at Power Lad’s still body. However, with her attention diverted, she did not counter Wonder Girl breaking through her force-field.
“Go Wonder Girl!” Jayna smiled, punching the sky.
“Now then, ‘Disturbia’, we’re going to have a little talk,” Wonder Girl sneered, grabbing her cape and spinning her around.
“Ah, Wonder Girl, I have no fight with you! If you’d just been defeated like your leader and your boyfriend here,” Disturbia kicked Power Lad over. “I wouldn’t have to subject you to my worst kind of torture…”
Wonder Girl’s eyes widened in fear as she realized she was paralyzed. “W-What? What are you going to do to me?”
“Your friends here, I just used my powers to reawaken some of their worst nightmares. Right now, they’re sleeping, urging themselves to wake up from their horrific dreams. They’ll be awake in an hour or two…but you? Oh, I don’t know if you’ll ever wake up again. Because I’m taking you somewhere special!”
The Super Friends looked on as a sense of fear hovered over their heads. Stellar gasped as before his very eyes, Wonder Girl seemed to drain in colour until she was turning grey. Her mouth opened wide, unleashing a white mist that swirled in the air. Disturbia opened her own mouth, her eyes twinkling as the mist floated into her. After a minute of this weird ritual, Stellar screamed as Wonder Girl turned grey and dropped to the floor with a loud THUD!
“WONDER GIRL!” He shouted.
“What’s happened to her?” Air Wave thought aloud. “Somebody do something!”
Hawkgirl flew forward and knelt down, grabbing Wonder Girl and propping her up on her knee. She grimaced at the grey dead-like figure in front of her. She looked down with a tear in her eye.
“She’s dead.”
The group was silent as Hawkgirl put Wonder Girl down on the floor. A single tear fell down her cheek.
“NOOO!” Stellar screamed. “No, no! She can’t be dead, she just can’t -”
“Wait a minute!” White Wraith muttered, running forward. He picked up Wonder Girl and examined her.
“She’s not dead…”
Hawkgirl looked up with hope glistening in her eyes.
“But her soul has gone.”
“W-What?” Stellar asked as the rest of the group looked on from afar. Disturbia chuckled from behind her force-field.
“She has eaten her soul!”
“The ghost boy is correct,” Disturbia explained, walking forward. “I took her very soul and right now, it’s in my head. And in my head, is the realm of Disturbia. Once you’re in there, there’s no escape!”
White Wraith, Stellar and Hawkgirl all looked on disbelief.
“What’s going on over there?” Kai-Ro asked.
“They’re talking…I don’t think she’s…dead,” Whirlpool tried to explain, “but something is definitely up. We should stay back until Disturbia makes her next move.”
“NO WAY!”
The small gathering turned around to see Zan and Jayna standing side by side. Gleek stood by their side, clapping.
“Wonder Twin powers,” the pair said in unison.
“No guys, don’t you dare-”
“ACTIVATE!”
“Shape of a wave!” Zan shouted. He suddenly appeared as a wave disembodied from an ocean.
“Form of a rhino!” Jayna shouted afterwards, turning into a rhino. Gleek grabbed a bucket from out of nowhere and let Zan move into it.
“C’mon Zan, let’s show her what we’re made of,” Jayna beckoned, stampeding forward. Gleek chased after her with Zan in his bucket. Jayna ran into the force-field, creating a rip in it small enough for Zan to flow into with ease. The wave jumped forward and smacked Disturbia in the face, but other than soaking her hair, it had no effect.
“I can’t be dealing with pathetic losers like yourselves,” Disturbia groaned, pulling down her force-field.
“Zan, we made her lose confidence in herself!” Jayna laughed. The pair shouted “Wonder Twin powers, deactivate!” forming into their usual selves.
“I guess I’ll just send you both into Disturbia as well,” the girl said blankly, grabbing them both by their necks. They gasped as she pulled them forward and made eye contact. The Super Friends gasped as their grey soul-less bodies fell to the ground in a heap.
“Who is next?”
