Cross posting this here, as I'm not sure how many here knew him from CBR: I was hoping to get confirmation it's an April Fool's gag (albeit a day late), but I'm hearing it's true, that we lost one of the Old Skool CBR posters today. Quarterwolf (Jim Wright) is one of the folks who kept this place hopping back in the old days and although he hadn't posted much in a while (or even re-registered since the wipe, that I know of)... I kept in touch with him and he had been doing well at work and in life. not sure what caused the sudden passing but it apparently was very (Yes, he had a heart-attack last week, but just YESTERDAY updated that he had been home from the hospital for a few days, and was feeling good). here's a pic of CBR folks from at Dragon*con 2004 That's Jasper, Quarterwolf, Ragnarock, Solaris, and myself (on Sol's leg). R.I.P. QW.. you will be missed.

Happy trails man. heh. .that was mine. (I handed it to Jasper so I could grab Chris' leg). Jim was so, so, not into the way we were dressed. . but despite that, joined us for lunch that day anyways. he was a real sweet guy

I enjoyed the days of old CBR Chat. Quarterwolf was one of the posters I loved talking to. Was always a pleasure seeing Jim online. While I didn't keep in correspondence with him, I always think of those old CBR days. He will be missed...

I remember Quarterwolf from the CBR days. Don't think we ever talked much to one another directly, but I'm sure we were both involved in more than a few of the same general discussions, I think on the Comm board. I remember him as a very nice guy who loved comics. Very sorry to hear about his death.

We got to hang out some at Emerald City just about a year ago. Was glad to have met and known him.
Good guy.

Someone should maybe post a link to this thread and, if there is one, the one at CBR in the online guest book. His loved ones might like to read what folks from this part of his life have to say about him.

Someone should maybe post a link to this thread and, if there is one, the one at CBR in the online guest book. His loved ones might like to read what folks from this part of his life have to say about him. I got permission from his Sister to post the info here and at CBR, so they are aware that there are folks coming from both places (since they didn't know most of his online friends) to comment in the guest book. But that's a good idea to post links. they are grieving (obviously), but still took the time to update his FB page so his online friends were aware -- the kind of kindness I'd expect from someone related to Jim. it is still such a shock. . . per his Sister, after telling everyone how much better he was feeling, and how glad he was to be home in his own bed, he passed overnight in his sleep.
