Norbert Sykes is a Vietnam vet with a multiple personality disorder who is struggling to integrate back into society. He meets a 5th century druid named Ham who, after 1500 years of being in a coma, is now awake in modern times and uses his magic to quickly form a grocery store small empire.
Ham is quickly smitten with Sykes' incredible dexterity as he witnesses his martial arts prowess, and offers Norbert a key role to support his empire. While Sykes continues to be unstable at times, his main personality quickly becomes grocery store employee extraordinaire, The Bagger.
He also calls every customer “Larry”.
