Orion, son of Darkseid, in the mobius chair, says: "We haven't the time, my son."

Hawkgirl looks to the right, after hearing noise, but Orion quickly teleports them through the boom tube. They float through the time barrier, they see, very, very far in front of them, a hand. Orion quickly moves to the right, and flies through the side of the dimensional barrier.

At the Gotham Museum, a man sits at a bench, and stares at an Egyptian artifact. He reads the inscription above it, and finds that it is from the time of Khufu. He stares at it for a short time. He suddenly disappears, out of sight.

Orion: "He is on his way now! We must hurry"

They soon appear in the land of Egypt, they see crowds, swarming to see a winged man on a ledge.



Hawk Warrior: "Who... Is that?"

Orion: "That is your ancestor, the first incarnation of "Hawkman"."



Hawkgirl: "Who is that woman?"

Orion: "That is his wife--"



Isis interrupts: "Why has everything stopped?"

Orion: "You mean time? This is the only realm where we can find this 'Omni-man', he shall be the only one not paused in time."

At the Hall of Justice…

Everything has reset, The ToJ members that didn't go with Orion, no longer remember anything about the situation that has transpired over the last day. Metron’s body no longer exists. They even have no knowledge of their missing members ever even existing. Nothing to them is out of place.

In Egypt

Orion: "We must find "Everyman"."

Hawkgirl: ""Everyman"?"

Orion: "He is the source of what has been wronged. He possesses the powers to look at an old photograph, artifact, anything from the past, and can teleport himself to whatever time he chooses that the artifact ever existed in. I am aware that he has recently done so using an Egyptian artifact, from the reign of Khufu. The winged man you see on the ledge."



Black Adam says quietly to himself: "Khufu..."

They begin searching through the crowds, Orion directs Hawk Warrior to go inside the room above, behind the ledge, to search for him, and for Hawkgirl to fly above the crowds to see any movement, and for Black Adam and Isis to check the surrounding area. He asks Argos to come with him.



Argos: "Is it really you?"

Orion: "Yes, I was your father."

Argos: "Was?"

Orion: "Once I was killed, High Father decreed that all dead New Gods would return in one form, or another. This is mine. I no longer lead the life I once did, this is my sole mission, to protect the universe and everything in it."

Argos: "...The last Metron only "protected the Universe" for the security of his unlimited source of knowledge."

Orion: "I am different. I am here to protect the universe, selflessly...."

Orion: "Are you as hot tempered as I was?"

Argos: "You could say that. I prepare for the battle, no more preparation is needed in life, but for that."

Orion: "You will soon learn differently..."

Argos stares at him for a second. And they continue they're search.

Hawk Warrior calls for all them to come to his position.

Hawk Warrior: "I've found something!"

Hawkgirl: "What is it?"

Hawk Warrior shows them all, drops of blood on the ground.

Orion: "There fresh... He's been here, everybody search through all the rooms!"

Hawkgirl and Hawk Warrior took the two rooms on the left, Isis took the one in the middle, Argos and Orion took the two on the right. Black Adam started to follow Isis, but turned around, and looked at the unmoving Khufu, and gave him a menacing stare, and began to go in the middle room.

Hawk Warrior: "Do you trust this guy?"

Hawkgirl: "Why shouldn't I?"

Hawk Warrior: "Something just doesn't feel right about him."

Hawkgirl: "He's Argos's Dad though."

Hawk Warrior: "Are we sure of that?"

Isis see's a stone table in the middle room, with stone seats, served with golden cups, and platters, with food on it. She has a Deja Vu of the event. Imagining Seeing herself, and Black Adam sitting with Khufu and the winged woman, and they are laughing, and she looks at Khufu. She comes out of her vision, Black Adam walks up to her.

Black Adam asks sincerely: "Whats wrong?"

Isis: "I just had a... Vision. Of me and you sitting at that this table, eating dinner with "Khufu" and his lover."

Black Adam: "I also had some kind of revelation, when I heard the name "Khufu", it sounded very familiar..."

She looks at the table again, thinking about her vision, while Black Adam looks further down in the dim, candle lit room.

She says very quietly to herself: "It all seems... so familiar. I know this place...", While she continues to think about her vision.

Isis says quietly: "I remember...!"

In the room with Argos and Orion

Argos: "So why were you chosen to be the new Metron?"

Orion: "Fate has a way of counterbalancing itself. When someone’s tipped the scale one way, it tips it back to an even state. Choosing me was its way of tipping the scales back to the way they were."

Argos: "Wait, is this man we're looking for the man who killed the first Metron?!"

Orion: "Yes."

Orion, sitting in his chair, pauses for a moment, and then says: "There is nothing here. He has already left."

Orion teleports all of them back in the main room, by the ledge where Khufu stands.

Black Adam says annoyed: "Well that was a waste of time!"

Hawkgirl: "Oh my God! Look!"

They all look to see an Egyptian spear shoved through Khufu's heart.

Isis: "We have to help him!"

Orion: "There is nothing we can do for him, but we haven't the time to waste!"

Orion quickly unfreezes time, and teleports them back in the time barrier, to try and follow this "monster".

Khufu: "Ahhhh...."

Khufu falls over, the crowd gasps and screams.
