Titans of Justice Unlimited Chapter 110 - “Fall From Grace Part 4”
Written & edited by: Power Guy
Washington D.C.,
In front of the ruins of the White House, Amanda Waller was in the midst of her first speech as president of the United States of America. “Thank you all for being here today,” greeted the heavy-set woman. “While I’m excited to take on this new challenge as your president, the means by which I came into this position leave me with a heavy heart. President Obama was a good man with many ideas to help turn this country around. Sadly, his time was cut short by the group of masked criminals known as the Titans of Justice. I want you all to know first and forehand that while these ruthless outlaws may have killed the previous president, I do not live in fear. My plans are to put an end to this horrific situation as quickly as possible. While I speak, plans are under way to bring the Titans to justice, by whatever means necessary….”

The Hall of Justice…
“Ha! That bloated cow thinks she has a chance against us!” scoffed Sargona as she looked up on the monitor screen, watching Waller’s speech.
“The Justice League may have saved her last time, but we’ll get her soon enough!” vowed Wonder Man. “But before she dies, I’m going to use my lasso to make her spill every government secret she knows!”
“I say we keep the fat %!+(# alive and torture her for a while,” suggested Green Lantern.
“I like that idea,” agreed Nucleus. “Let me crawl around inside of her and play with her nerve sensors until she’s foaming at the mouth mad!”
“No! Waller’s too dangerous of an enemy!” chided Nightvision. “We kill her as soon as we get the chance!”
“You’re always such a party-pooper,” grumbled Goldbug as he looked Nightvision dead in the eye.
Just then, the Trouble Alert’s warning system went off.
“What’s going on?” asked Power Guy to Whirlpool who was standing in front of the monitor controls.
“They are several unidentified flying objects heading our way!” answered the prince of Atlantis.
“Is it the JLA again?” asked the Kryptonian powerhouse.
“No, whatever they are, they’re too big to be just humanoid life-forms. I’m switching on the cameras now,” advised Whirlpool.
But before the camera signal could become clear, a massive explosion rattled the force-field surrounding the Hall of Justice.
“Everyone outside - NOW!” ordered Power Guy.
A few minutes later once the teams was outside, Sonic Boom pointed skyward and shouted, “We’re being attacked by a bunch of military jets!”
“Waller must be joking if she thinks of a bunch of high-tech jets and a few missiles will stop us!” scoffed Power Guy. “Let’s go teach them the folly of their mistake!” he said, leaving all of the members of the team who could fly, upward.
A few seconds later, the battle was in high gear. Power Guy led his assault team with utmost confidence on winning this battle with ease.
“I hope these soldiers have their life insurance forms filled out,” Supergirl said, smiling viciously. Just then, an oncoming plane began firing upon her with Kryptonite lasers!
The emerald beam hit the modern-age girl of steel like a hammer, knocking her out of the sky.
“Supergirl!” called out Power Guy as he watched his niece fall from the sky but while he was distracted, he too was hit by the green beam, sending him crashing downward.
“Kryptonite, huh? I’ll take care of that!” proclaimed Green Lantern as his ring lit up but before he could make good on his promise, another jet fired a yellow stun-ray, immobilizing him.
“Great Ares! They came prepared,” Wonder Man, said, becoming a bit concerned. “No matter though, no special ray will work on me!” he said, flying into a jet with the speed of Hermes and ripping it in two.
Starman set his sights on a particular plane, “This one’s mine!” he declared, using his gravity-bands to amplify the weight of the plane fifty-fold, causing it to plummet downward and smash into a high-rise apartment building.
Meanwhile, Illumina was toying with her current prey. She used her light powers to blind two of the pilots causing their planes to collide and instantly explode.
Jem followed Imako Hoshi’s queue and used her holographic ablities to make one of the planes invisible to the other pilots, causing one of the other planes to smash into it, thus taking them both out.
“Even with Green Lantern and the Kryptonians down, these insects don’t stand a chance against us!” bragged Argos as he grabbed one of the planes and used his immense super-strength to throw it into the moon.
A ways away, Steller was using a series of shooting stars produced by his Cosmic Converter Belt to overheat one of the jet’s engines, forcing it to erupt into flames and blow up with in seconds. “Buh-bye, loser!” he snickered as the smoke from the former plane began to dissipate.
As several of the Titans had gained victories over the Air Force, both Power Guy and Supergirl had recovered from their injuries. The two of them began racing through the sky, smashing their way through several planes until Power Guy came up with a more ‘creative’ idea. “Hey Supergirl, up for a game of chicken?” he asked as he grabbed a plane and queued his niece to do the same.
The two Kryptonians began racing towards each other, planes in hand. The pilots of each plane began to panic greatly once they realized they were about to be rammed into each other. Both pilots wasted no time in hitting their eject buttons only seconds before their plans were turned into a blazing inferno.

Back inside the Hall of Justice…
A small team of Justice Leaguers arrived on the scene with the hope of shutting down their protégé’s without having to cause them any harm. The group, consisting of Vixen, Red Tornado, the third Atom(Ryan Choi), and Plastic Man were lead by John Stewart, member of the Green Lantern Corps.
“Ok, team, it looks like Waller’s soldiers have the Titans distracted,” observed John Stewart. “Mari, you, Reddy, and Eel do a perimeter sweep in case any of the Titans stayed inside. Ryan and I certainly don’t need any interuptions while we hook up his device to the Hall of Justice computer which, when activated, will trigger a paralysis attack through each of the Titans’ signal devices. This should take them down clean and smooth so we can get to the bottom of this mess.”
A few minutes later as the trio of Justice Leaguers began combing through the Hall, Red Tornado glanced at Vixen and asked, “How are you coping with this, Mari? It must pain you to see your daughter acting the way she has been.”
“It’s eating me alive, Reddy, even though I know someone must be controlling her,” sighed the former supermodel. “But I promise that when we find out who the snake is that’s pulling her strings, I’m going to unleash the full fury of the jungle on them!”
“Whoah, Vixy, I’ve never seen you so tense,” mentioned Plastic Man as he warped his legs into a spring-shape and bounced along.
“This is my daughter we’re talking about. It doesn’t get any more personal than this,” Vixen, replied, a bit bluntly.
“And to think, I was just about to let Tornado Champion join the Titans. I am glad I decided to hold him back a bit longer,” Red Tornado said, feeling a sigh of relief. “I certainly wouldn’t want him mixed up in this mess.”
Meanwhile, John Stewart and Ryan Choi had made their way to the main meeting room of the Hall of Justice.
“It’s empty,” observed the third Atom, as he gazed around the room. “Let’s get to work. We don’t have a second to lose!’
As the two heroes began pulling off the panels on the Hall of Justice computer so they could connect their device, they failed to hear the arrival of the Titans: Totem and Nucleus.
About twenty minutes later, Plastic Man, Red Tornado, and Vixen were making their way towards the main meeting room.
“It looks like the Air Force is still keeping the Titans busy outside,” presumed Red Tornado.
“Yes, our search proved that we’re the only ones inside the Hall right now,” Vixen said with a sigh of relief. “We got lucky. The last thing I wanted was a hostile encounter with them.”
“Well, let’s hope John and Ryan are almost done wiring up their device and we can put an end to this mess - pronto!” Plastic Man said, wishing aloud.
As the three Justice Leaguers turned the corner and entered the main meeting room, the sight before them threw them all into a horrific state of shock. Ryan Choi was laying on the ground beneath Nucleus’ enlarged foot. It looked his body was half-crushed. John Stewart was also laying down but in Totem’s arms. His power-ring was missing from his and. A quick glance a few inches upward revealed that the ring was nestled within Totem’s right hand. Though that was shocking alone, it paled in comparison to the fact that a chunk of John’s neck was missing and dangling from Totem’s mouth. Upon noticing the three additional heroes enter the room, she looked up and swallowed the mangled piece of flesh in her mouth and said, “Well, hello mother. I’m so glad you could join us. You’re just in time for desert….”
