Inside the Hall of Justice’s interrogation room,


Dark Arrow and Power Guy sit across from Rock, who sits in an interrogation chair.

“What happened?” asks Rock, repeating Dark Arrow's question.



“Did you not hear me?” asks back Dark Arrow.



“You don’t have to be so harsh.” remarks Power Guy.



“To this a***ole, it’s needed.” Dark Arrow says.

“Watch your language, Arrow.” says Power Guy.

The room dies down silent as Dark Arrow backs out. Rock nods his head. “Next, I awoke....” says Rock.

Inside a hospital three months after the attack on the Dynasty,

Rock sits in bed, wearing an eyepatch over his right eye, deep in sleep. He’s injured and stitched up, but in fairly good condition.

BOOM! The hospital shakes, filled with screams and smashes. Outside the hospital, the unknown-to-the-public-until-a-few-seconds-ago government superhero project Z’s creation, Team Z stands, combating a figure who’s blocked out by the smoke from the impact of the figure in the shadow’s blast.

Rock runs over to a basket of chocolate and flowers in the corner. He empties it to get to the bottom of the basket. He opens a secret compartment on the bottom and takes out- a handgun! He rushes over to the window to look outside. Rock’s face goes from confused to shocked.

A tall, muscular man in a green uniform emerges from the smoke. His face is scarred and familiar. Rock’s view of his face is gone, when he bursts up a huge flame of lightning.

“Tha-tha- that can’t be! I killed him at birth! I killed Joseph Kozlov!” yells Rock who returns to his panicked state and flees out the door and down the stairs.



Kozlov marches forward, fists glowing with lightning. He lifts his arms up and sends a huge wave of lightning, capturing Team Z in a bubble of lightning. His eyes roll back in his head and then glow a dark lightning blue. The same happens to Team Z.

Suddenly Rock smashes the door open with a massive kick! He holds the pistol out, aiming at them. Kozlov laughs and speaks in his thick Russian accent with a touch of mockery, “Rock, how nice to see you. You look just like your father. Do you remember our relationship?”

“You killed him, you bastard!” Rock shouts out at Kozlov, filled with fury. “And your mother and your father’s best friend, Blackhawk. You don’t give me enough credit.” Kozlov laughs back at Rock. “And I killed you!” Rock yells back, confused. “Wrong. You merely hit me with a sleep dart. Your father was too stupid to use a real pistol on me.” “Then why were you reported dead?” Rock retaliates back with. Kozlov is out of patience now.

A small spark bursts out from each of his eyes and before Rock new it, Team Z’s collective powers buried Rock in a grave of debris, that mere seconds ago was a hospital.

Rock breathes hard, struggling to find a way out. Through a small hole in the debris, Rock gets all of his oxygen and sight. And through this little hole, Rock manages to see Kozlov and the members of Team Z who can’t fly enter a helicopter. Those who can fly descend off into the sky with the helicopter.

The Hall of Justice interrogation room (Present),

Rock closes his eyes, trying to think what happened next. Power Guy looks up from a file and asks, “May I ask you a question, Rock?”. Rock’s eyes flicker open, instantly. “Feel free.” he says, bravely. “Was this before the Island Y Incident?” Power Guy asks. “Yeah.” Rock replies. “What was the Island Y Incident?” Dark Arrow asks.
