Roll Call: Argos, Blue Lantern, Dark Arrow, Huntress, Infierna Verde, Knightvision, Power Guy, Sargona, & Sonic Boom
Wayne Manor...
Knightvision stirred awake due to the sound of his name being repeated over and over. When he finally opened his eyes, he saw Infierna Verde hunched over him.
“Easy, amigo. Can you speak?” asked the latin superheroine.
Before answering his teammate’s question, his head swiveled back and forth several times as though he was looking for something....or someone, “Where’s Helena? And Crimson Squire? And Bat-Girl?”
With a look of sadness in her eyes, the daughter of Fire answered, “Crimson Squire and Bat-Girl were both seriously injured. Blue Lantern brought them both back to the Hall’s medical bay. As for Helena, we were hoping you could tell us what happened to her?”
Knightvision then noticed Sargona and Argos in the room, both of whom were trying to revive the rest of the Titans that were injured in Bill Jensen’s attack.
“We received a distress call from the Crimson Squire a few minutes ago - most likely before whoever did this attacked,” explained Infierna Verde. “We got here as soon as we could. The others are all hurt but it looks like they should be able to shake their wounds off and help us catch whoever’s responsible for this mess.”
A few feet away, Sargona was tending to Power Guy. “Vince, you’ve got some serious bruises on you...”
“I took the brunt of the blast but I’ll be ok,” replied the leader of Titans East. “Go tend to Dark Arrow and Sonic Boom.”
“You know I’d rather not,” Sargona said, slightly annoyed at the mere thought of helping her former rival Sonic Boom and her wretched brother unless she absolutely HAD to, “Besides, Argos is checking on them. So what exactly happened here?”
“Bill Jensen showed up looking for Bruce Wayne,” began the man also known as Vince Starr.
“Who’s Bill?” Sargona asked curiously.
“He’s from Earth 2. He killed Helena’s father from that earth. Apparently, he found out about this earth’s Bruce Wayne and decided to kill him too,” presumed Power Guy.
“Does he know Bruce is Batman?” asked the daughter of Sargon and Zatanna.
“Yes, he found out right before Earth 2’s Bruce died but the weird thing is, Helena said Bill died along with her father from Earth 2,” explained the Kryptonian powerhouse.
“So then how can he be here?” asked Sargona, totally confused.
“Helena was wondering the same thing....” answered the younger brother of Power Girl.
As Sargona and Power Guy continued their conversation, Argos was busy reviving Sonic Boom and Dark Arrow. “Di Di, can you stand?”
“Yes. Thanks Argos,” replied the new Black Canary as she took to her feet.
Dark Arrow was regaining his senses as he mentioned, “Boy, does my head hurt. It feels like it was hit by a dozen baseball bats all at once.”
“And even that many bats wouldn’t be enough to break through that thick skull of yours,” joked Sonic Boom.
“I see you two are in good spirits,” observed Argos. “You must be feeling better I’d assume. Now that everyone is accounted for, let’s go find Helena and make that monster pay for what he’s done,” he said, clenching his right fist. As always, Argos’ first priority was the battle at hand.
“Everyone’s accounted for?” Power Guy asked as he scanned the room. “Good, then let’s go save Helena and put Mr. Jensen in a nice padded cell.”

The top of one of Gotham’s Twin Towers...
Bill Jensen had made his way to the rooftop with the unconscious Helena Wayne in his grasp. The building was surrounded by a large fraction of the Gotham City police force. The would-be killer of the Batman had caused quite a commotion when he barged into the building beneath him and made his way to the top, killing three security guards along the way.
“All right, Wayne! I know you can hear me!” Bill screamed in anger, frothing at the mouth a bit. “Come and face me or your pretty little daughter dies on her birthday! Does daddy really want to give her a present like that?!?!?!”
A policeman below took a slim chance and shot a bullet at Jensen, hoping to put an end to the threat he posed but it was in vane as the projectile was incinerated when it pass through the fiery aura surrounding the kidnapper of the Huntress.
Becoming instantly annoyed by the shot taken at him, Bill ripped a large fan off the roof and threw it down towards the policeman.
The officer was frozen in fear upon seeing the large object coming at him and was unable to move. Death seemed certain until a bright blue pitcher’s glove caught the fan in mid-air, thus ending the immediate crisis at hand.
The policeman looked up with gratitude in his eyes as the all new Blue Lantern descended downward.
“Are you ok?” asked the man otherwise known as Daniel Jordan.
“Yes, sir! Thanks to you!” smiled the officer.
“Good. Now I’m going to go stop the problem at the source!” Blue Lantern said as he flew upwards towards the awaiting Bill Jensen.
Bill stood on the edge of the roof, ready to meet Blue Lantern head-on. His black-magic fueled flames erupted violently as the blue guardian pressed closer.
The emissary of hope did the first thing that came to mind and created a giant fire extinguisher and doused Bill Jensen’s flames, however, that did little good. His flames still burned bright.
“His flames must be magic based,” grumbled the blue guardian. “I HATE magic-based villains. I’ve got to try something else.” But before he could come up with another form of attack, he found himself on the defense as Bill Jensen released a large stream of flames at him. Dan’s blue ring shot forth a glimmering beam that was just barely enough to hold the searing flames at bay.
Once Bill noticed that his flames were being stopped in mid-air, he became quite furious which strengthened his flames. Hoping to buy himself some time and save his teammate, he created a bright flare which temporarily blinded his opponent. He quickly took advantage of the situation and flew upward. He soon spotted the unconscious Helena Wayne and lifted her to safety, using his ring to revive her.
“Ugh.......Lantern?” Helena asked as her vision cleared.
“Are you ok?” asked the Christian pastor. “No offense but you look like a wreck.”
“I feel like one....” replied the daughter of Batman and Catwoman. “What happened to Bill Jensen and the other Titans?”
“I temporarily blinded Bill to buy us a few minutes until the others get here,” explained the former boyfriend of both Sargona and Sonic Boom. He then took the two of them far away from the scene of the disturbance via a non-transparent blue bubble. “Now, I know this is just a cheap copy but I hope this will do in light of the fact that I don’t think you have time to run home and change,” he said as he used his ring to create a replica of the Huntress’ costume around her. “I asked my ring to utilize any information it had on Bat-devices so you should find your utility-belt well-stocked.”
“Oh Dan, I could almost kiss you,” smiled the Huntress as she looked down at her make-shift costume. “Now, let’s go put a stop to that man’s crazy scheme!”

A few minutes earlier back a top of one of Gotham’s Twin Towers...
Bill Jensen rampaged around like a mad dog. He had regained his eyesight from Blue Lantern’s attack and was furious. More streams of flames spewed from his body, ready to roast whatever was in their path. Luckily for the good citizens of Gotham, help had arrived in the form of the Titans of Justice.
“That’s Bill down there!” Power Guy said, pointing directly at the man man.
“His flames are flurrying like a sparkler, going in every direction at once!” pointed out Sonic Boom.
“Not for long,” countered Argos. “One blast of the Astro Force should be enough to put that dog to sleep!” The war monger of New Genesis dove downward to make good on his promise when without warning, one of Bill’s melted the lower frame of a nearby water tower, causing it to collapse. The tank of the tower was set to crush several vehicles on the ground below it which were full of people trying to evacuate the area. Without hesitation, the son of Orion changed course and positioned himself underneath the falling tower, steadying it before it could crush anyone or spill a large amount of water. Sadly, he was now caught between a rock and hard place having to hold the tower up rather than join his friends in confronting Bill Jensen.
“Great! Now we just had one of our heaviest hitters side-lined,” grumbled Sargona.
“Not to worry, besides having the ability to generate fire, I can absorb it too,” revealed Infierna Verde as she flew up close to the would-be killer of New Earth’s Batman. “Que horror! You reap nothing but death and destruction! Well, no more! Your flames are mine!” she declared as she tried to absorb Bill’s furying flames. After a few seconds, the daughter of Fire came to the realization that she was not able to absorb Bill’s flames at all but instead was getting burnt by them. “AIEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!” she screeched as she experienced a pain she never had before, having been impervious to all forms of fire up until now.
“Infierna!” cried out Power Guy as he sped forward and ripped his teammate free from Bill’s flames. Once they were out of the villain’s hearing range, he asked, “Jocelyn, are you ok?”
“Si....but barely,” responded the jade beauty. “My invulnerability to fire gave me some protection but his flames are stronger than any I’ve ever come by before. I believe they are laced with black magics!”
“Magic, eh?” repeated Sargon as she surfed along her flying carpet. “Sounds like he’s right up my alley,” she said as the Ruby of Life that was suspended on her dress lit up along with her eyes. She commanded her invaluable gem to fire a crimson beam at Bill Jensen, trying to drive out whatever black magic was housed within his body.
Bill was taken aback by this latest attack on him and was frozen for a minute. Sargona’s ruby continued to bathe him in it’s crimson light, trying to cleanse his body but it didn’t take the daughter of Sargon and Zatanna long to realize it was having no effect.
“Great Houdini! Nothing happening!” cried out Sargona, totally puzzled. “Whatever magic he’s playing with is even stronger than that of my ruby!”
“Or as Dan would say, maybe your ruby isn’t magic at all. It’s just a mis-shaped red power ring,” interjected Dark Arrow as he fired an explosive arrow at the villain.
“Arrow, what the heck are you doing?!?!?!?!” asked a baffled Sonic Boom.
“We’ve tried everything else....” shrugged Dark Arrow, realizing he had not made the best decision but in hopes it would still do some good.
The arrows hit Bill head-on. The mixture of explosives and his flames caused and immense explosion in the area,
Argos looked on from down below in horror and threw up a shield of Astro Force around he and his friends just in the nick of time, sadly however, the blast was still powerful enough to break through his shield.
Just then, Blue Lantern and the Huntress arrived on the scene, fearing the worst for their friends. “Good God, he’s killed our friends just like he’s going to kill my father if we don’t stop him!” the Huntress said, letting her memory of Bill killing her Earth 2 father get to best of her.
“Calm down, Helena,” whispered Blue Lantern. “They could all just be unconscious. Let’s not jump to conclusions.”
“You don’t know this man, Dan,” countered the Huntress. “All he sees is hatred and revenge! He’s so powerful, not even Vince or Argos could stop him! There’s only one way to end this madness!”
“I don’t like the way you’re talking, Helena,” chided the son of Hal and Carol Jordan.
“You’re a pastor, Dan. Go help heal our friends.....if they’re still among the living. Leave the shoot of the mad dog to me,” spat the Huntress as she shot her Bat-grappled into the night sky. She soon found herself being hoisted upwards towards the man she despised most in all of existence.
Blue Lantern looked up wearily as the daughter of Batman and Catwoman went after her prey. He feared the horrific events of this night were far from over but still, like the Huntress said, he was a pastor and a Blue Lantern and his job was to provide healing and hope to those that needed it. Those people right now were none other than his fellow members of the Titans of Justice.
A few minutes later, a top the roof of the tower Bill Jensen was standing on, the Huntress made her arrival. “Alright, Jensen, show’s over!” she declared, fists clenched. “Sorry it took me so long, I had to make a little stop along the way.”
“Get out!!!!” roared Bill Jensen as he shot more flames at the Huntress. “Bring me Wayne!!!!!!!!”
The Huntress’ amazing acrobatic abilities allowed her to dodge the stream of flames coming at her but just barely. “Not who you were expecting Billy boy?” she teased. “You want Bruce Wayne, huh? He’s busy right now so maybe I’ll just have to do,” she said as she threw a strange disk on the ground and then removed her mask.
“You! You’re Wayne’s daughter!” Bill growled, still angry that Helena Wayne had escaped him earlier.
“That’s right and if you want to get to my father, you’re going to have to go through me first you sick son of a %*$!” snapped the Huntress. But to get to me, you have to cross this little disc I’ve thrown in front of me. It’s a little gift of alien technology. It generates a force field that can contain immense amounts of energy, including explosions. Think your explosive flames can over-power it? Come on.....let’s find out!” she taunted.
Bill raced forward like a raging bull. If he couldn’t kill Bruce Wayne tonight, he would settle for killing his daughter. No stupid alien disc was about to stop him from getting his revenge on the man he hated most. As Bill pressed forward, he crossed the disc which lit up upon him stepping on it. This annoyed Bill greatly, causing his flames to erupt from his body as predicted. The flames grew violently wild and another explosion was made. The entire building was encompassed by the blast and was blown to bits.
On the ground below, Blue Lantern was tending to his thankfully alive teammates when the sound of the blast caused him to whip around and see what was happening. Daniel’s eyes grew wide in horror as he looked up at the building his friend Helena Wayne was standing on as it was blown apart leaving nothing but a pile os smoldering ash....
