Maybe there will be a 3 or 5 am showing you can go to on opening night. I'm pretty much done with going to the movie theater to see movies. If Star Wars 7 can't get me to go, then it is permanently over.

I'll probably see a matinee the second or third week. I just don't have a need to be the first to see a movie that will be the same when the theater isn't crazy busy.

If Star Wars 7 can't get me to go, then it is permanently over. We only got to maybe 3-4 movies a year at the theatre, mostly the big comic or fantasy/sci-fi stuff we want to see on the big screen. If it is not a "big screen" movie we wait and see it at home, especially if it's a drama and being able to hear the dialogue is important Matinees at our local theatre are only $6 so it's not a terrible night out price wise (or afternoon as the Sunday shows will be matinees). The last one I saw in a theatre was whatever the last Marvel movie released was-(Winter Solider? GotG? Days of Future Passed?) After Avengers, I am not sure what we will see next, possibly nothing until Star Wars Ep. 7 as I am skipping FF altogether (no desire to see it in any format) and I am not sure when Ant-Man is supposed to be out. -M

I'll see Avengers and Star Wars... you know, stuff with big impressive special effects and sound that makes seeing it on a movie screen worthwhile. Other stuff I wait until cable, or the DVD I went to the midnight showing for the other Avengers movies... it's got great atmosphere when the theatre is full and no one quite knows what to expect... I'll probably try to do so with this one, too

Same here ... and looking forward seeing it. I will probably wait until 3rd Week and usually go on a Monday at the first showing of Avengers 2 / Age of Ultron.

I was going to go the first day, but my daughters have no school that day (teacher inservice day), so that killed that idea.
I'll probably get there Sunday afternoon at this point. Just have to stay off the internet and not talk to any of my friends for two days to avoid any spoilers.

Well...its worth going to see boys and girls, and theres plenty thats just plain super. Good combination of humour, drama and action, and I really like what theyve done with some of the newer characters.
I know this all sounds vague and generic, but with my big mouth, do you have any idea how hard it is to not spoil the whole thing for you.
Enjoy, I did.

I'm guessing "disappointing" is a relative term in this case...

I'm guessing "disappointing" is a relative term in this case... Yeah, being only the second highest grossing movie in opening weekend of all time is extremely disappointing...the only disappointment is #1 was the first Avengers movie and they expected this one to surpass it's earnings, which may have been an unfair expectation. -M
