Outside of the Underwater City of Atlantis
Garth had lived his life in solitude and loneliness. An outcast from his people because of his unusual violet colored eyes, he sought refuge in the sea kingdom of Atlantis. He was taken in by the horrible tyrant King Arthur of Atlantis and abused for as long as he could remember. He was never given love or any kind of wage at all, but he was forced to obey Aquaman's every whim. The young Aqualad was tired of having to yield to every command of every fish in the sea. Garth didn't bother looking back as he swam away from Atlantis. He didn't know what challenges he would face in the land dwellers' world, but he wanted to be a part of a family…
…and after he and his family conquered the surface world he would return to Atlantis and force every citizen to bow at his feet.
Star City, Connecticut
Roy Harper's life had spiraled downward ever since the Black Widow killed the Green Arrow. Speedy missed his mentor. He had learned so much about crime and the drug culture from Oliver Queen. Roy did his best to keep up the Green Arrow's work of supplying South and Central American drugs to major cities of the east coast. But as a teen it was difficult job to do alone and he was tired. He had saved money over the years, but now that he had enough to exact his revenge he realized that money alone wouldn't do it. Speedy would need the help of some super powerful beings in order to take on someone as dangerous as the Black Widow. He boarded the arrow jet as he thought, "No one less than the Super Fiends can help me with this job."
6,000 miles above the Grand Canyon
Di Di Queen always thought that going on a mission with Green Lantern Daniel Jordan would be fun. She gazed at her new energy-ring-created Green Arrow outfit and reality set in. Her days as a spirited, carefree cheerleader were far behind her. She thought adventure was what she wanted. She thought that defending the universe at Daniel Jordan's side was what she wanted. She thought that proving that she could out-shoot her father and brother was what she wanted. But now…
…now all she really wanted was to see her momma.
"Don't let it get to you," said the pilot of the Green Lantern rocket-jet. "We'll get home."
A few moments of silence passed before Green Arrow sighed heavily and said, "The Grand Canyon is beautiful, isn't it?"
"Yeah, I noticed that too. It's kind of hard to believe that we are in some alternate universe. Everything seems to look the same," observed the emerald crusader.
Di Di Queen sighed. "So, who do you miss the most?"
"We really haven't been gone all that long," said Daniel as he activated the autopilot. "I just want to get home and…"
"…and what?" asked the former cheerleading squad captain curiously.
"…We have to find out if the others are okay," answered the dashing young bald man.
"You're mainly thinking of Sargona, aren't you?" asked Daniel's childhood friend. The emerald gladiator's silence spoke volumes. Di Di knew that her friend cared deeply for their fiery teammate. "Don't worry, Dan. She'll be okay. Sargona and I have never been the best of friends, but I respect her highly as an ally. She can take care of herself. The Sting Ray doesn't stand a chance against her."
Green Lantern's mask and complimentary smile couldn't hide his concerns from his lovely companion. The two had been friends for nearly their entire lives. Several minutes of silence passed as Daniel Jordan used his ring to try to repair his Titans of Justice communicator.
"Dan?" asked the lady archer, "Earlier you said there was something about Sargona you would tell me about later. What is it?"
The green guardian took a deep breath and held it for quite some time before exhaling. "She dumped me," he said plainly.
"…oh, Dan, I'm so sorry. Why?' asked Di Di in concern.
"She's… she's just so jealous and insecure. She said she loved me and then she broke up with me!"
"When did this happen?" pried the former Sonic Boom.
"Just before Nucleus called us to come to S.T.A.R. Labs Tower," revealed Green Lantern.
"So, that's why he was acting so strangely at S.T.A.R. Labs," thought the granddaughter of detective Larry Lance. "I wonder how things would have turned out if he hadn't been preoccupied with the break-up?"
Whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Sang Daniel Jordan's Titans of Justice communicator. "Di Di, pass me your communicator!"
Both heroes smiled as the second communicator went online a few moments later.
"Calling any Titan! This is Green… Sonic Boom. Come in!"
Beep! Beep! Beep! Rang Green Lantern's communicator.
"Repeat! This is Sonic Boom! Please come in."
Beep! Beep! Beep! "Nothing, observed Green Lantern."

The two heroes dashed to the Lantern rocket monitor. "It looks like two humanoid figures speedily approaching!" exclaimed Daniel as he activated the zoom device on the monitor screen.
"That's Superman!" exclaimed Green Arrow. "Do you think he traced us from our universe to help us out?"
"The other one is Aquaman… but since when does Aquaman fly?" asked Green Lantern skeptically.
"…and he's wearing an eye patch," added the beautiful archer in a less enthusiastic tone.
"I always imagined Superman as a bit more friendly looking," muttered the bald hero as he switched back to autopilot. Mentally commanding his ring, the bag of arrows he had previously created for his lovely companion reappeared. He took out several and revised their capabilities. "..,just in case," he explained. With another flash of emerald light a parachute outfit appeared on Green Arrow.
BOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both heroes were knocked out of their seats and slammed into the interior rocket wall
"Definitely not the rescue team," said Sonic Boom sarcastically as she prepared her bow.
BOOOM!!!!!!!!!!! The heroes floated via emerald light this time instead of hitting the jet ceiling.
"Ready?" asked Daniel.
"We can do this, Dan. Lets go honor our fathers!" said Dinah Queen valiantly.
Suddenly the rocket jet vanished into thin air. Green Lantern soared in the sky as Green Arrow dropped in an amazing daredevil fall. Aquaman zoomed downward after the female as Superman flew upward toward the male.
Aquaman placed his fingertips on his temples in concentration as Green Arrow began gasping for air. "That trick might have worked against Sonic Boom," thought the choking heroine, "but I'm Green Arrow now." With lightning speed she punched her release lever and a parachute popped out. Soon five arrows sped their way toward the flying King of Atlantis.
SMAK!!! Oliver Queen would have been proud. Di Di remembered his words to her brother, "Even if they successfully dodge the four, it's the glove arrow that that hits the target that counts."
Not wanting to foolishly celebrate early, the new Green Arrow prepared her new 'special' arrow as she watched the aerial battle above. Red heat rays and green power beams pierced the skies. Thus far sector 2814's youngest Green Lantern was holding his own against Superman himself. When a giant green hand slapped the Kryptonian's jaw the battle changed. Enraged that the young upstart got the first blow in, Superman sped in fury towards the seemingly doomed verdant-clad hero.
Pop! Pop! Crackle! Pop! burst a series of fireworks over the timeless beauty of Colorado's Canyon. Daniel Jordan knew that his teammate was trying to get his attention via firecracker arrow. Taking advantage of the element of surprise, Green Lantern sped downward towards the parachute below. Just before he approached Di Di Queen he quickly altered his course, leaving the flying Superman vulnerable to the attack of the all-new Green Arrow.
Thwip! Thwip! "AARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" cried Superman at the pain caused by the synthetic kryptonite arrowheads buried in his shoulder and bicep.
To Daniel Jordan's dismay, Aquaman met him mid-air and punched the young hero square in the jaw. The passive young man had never been punched this way before in his life and an instant dizziness overcame him. "Don't pass out," he thought, "just follow through on the plan." Suddenly a blazing green beam began sucking the water from Aquaman's body. The dehydrated "King of the Seas" descended below to save both himself and his Kryptonian friend.
Seeing her teammate in trouble below, the secret admirer of the Green Lantern bravely discarded her parachute and dove down to aid him. Catching him in the air she said, "Okay, Dan. One more time. We are falling and only you can save us. Can you bring the rocket back?" Beads of cold sweat appeared on the forehead of the groggy Daniel Jordan. Soon the two were safely inside the Green Lantern Rocked Jet.
"Great save!" shouted Di Di Queen before she noticed that her handsome companion had passed out. Turning on the rocket's cloaking device, the young heroine took over the steering controls.

The Colorado River
Aquaman felt refreshed by the currents of the mighty river. He pulled the struggling Superman out of the water, placed his right foot on Superman's chest and pulled both arrows out with all his might.
"AARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" he screamed. "Whose side are you on, anyway, fish freak!?!"
"Careful! I am aware of the Super Fiends pact, but if you don't show a little respect I might dine on roast Kryptonian tonight," warned Aquaman.
"Let's just get back after them!" shouted Superman angrily as he depressed the search signal on his Hall of Injustice signal device. "What's wrong? Did the water short it out?" asked the blue-and-red clad villain when there was no response.
"No, mine is water resistant and it isn't working either," observed Aquaman. "There must be a problem with the Hall computers.
"Oh, NO!" exclaimed Superman. "I knew we shouldn't have trusted Wonder Woman to watch the prisoners.
"We had better get back to the Hall if we want any hope of finding those two again," said Aquaman.

WaKeeny, Kansas: Casey's Gas Station
Daniel Jordan looked past his 'date' as the two munched on their dinner. She looked beautiful in the green dress his ring created. He noticed that the employees were commenting about the strange looking 'elf couple' that strutted in their store all dressed in green. The hot dogs were a little over cooked and the store had run out of mustard, but the young hero was just thankful to have something to eat.
"Is it just me, or does this place seem forty to fifty years behind the times?" asked Di Di. "It's a good thing you had that 'fifty' in your pocket, Dan."
"I'm just glad the money from our universe works here," whispered Green Lantern. His gaze caught the two flowers for sale at the storefront. He was tempted to go straight to the counter and purchase the yellow one and thank his beautiful companion for her care and faithfulness as a friend. Then his eyes focused on the red rose. "First things first!" thought the young man. "We go home and make sure Sargona is safe… and then…"
Snap! Snap! "Earth of Evil to Dan! Come in Dan," called a sweet and familiar voice.
"Oh! Right! Look, according to the ring we only have forty-five minutes of energy left, " informed Green Lantern.
"You were out for quite awhile," said Di Di sympathetically. The two walked behind the gas station and their costumes appeared mysteriously on them.
"Star City, Ho!" shouted Green Lantern as the two took off in a green energy bubble.
"The undefeated Green Lantern/Green Arrow team is ready to face their next challenge in the Big Bad Universe of Mystery!" added Green Arrow as the two flew eastward.
