The Hall of Justice...

Red Robin screamed as Kitty Kat’s claws slashed into his arm, cutting to the bone. Kitty Kat screamed in frustration as her body carried out Celsius’s demands. “Don’t…..make..me do this…” she screamed, remembering how Knightvision was skinned alive.





“Oh my my my, are we a squeamish kitten? That will never, never do.” Celsius laughed as he commanded Kitty Kat to slash Red Robin’s knees. The young man screamed in agony again and again.





“D**n you! Leave the boy out of this! You have no quarrel with him!” Power Guy screamed, his strength ebbing as the Kryptonite continued to weaken him.





Celsius narrowed his eyes and walked over to Power Guy. “Anyone who allies themselves with the likes of you deserves what they get.” He turned and glared at Kitty Kat, who was struggling to control her body. “Finish the kid off. Start with his face.”

“N—No---“ Kitty Kat cried. Her clawed gloves started to outline Red Robin’s features as he shut his eyes.

WHAM!!!!!!!! Came a green barrier. Kitty Kat looked around in relief to see Jo Jo Gardner and some of the other Titans of Authority. “Thank God…” she whispered as Jo Jo’s barrier separated her from Red Robin.

“You weren’t invited to my party. Only A listers are on the guest list.” Celsius fumed.

“Really? I always considered you D list. You know? The type that appears on Dancing With the Stars.” Dark Arrow smiled, drawing his bow.





Sonic Boom was relieved to see her brother along with Lilith, Superboy, Illumina, Jo Jo Gardner, Storm Surge, and Apotheosis.

“No matter. I’ll kill you all! You’ll all die together!” Celsius laughed, his eyes wide.

“Dude, lighten up.” Dark Arrow said, sending an arrow at Celsius’s head, shattering the Mento helmet.

Green Lantern could feel his mental control over him stop and he was able to use his power ring to safely free himself and Sonic Boom.

“Idiot!!” Celsius screamed. “I don’t need that d**n helmet! Wearing it all this time has heightened my own powers. I have enough power in my pinky to kill you all!”

“That, I’d like to see.” Jo Jo Gardner said, striking at him with his power ring. Celsius fired off a telekinetic bolt at Jojo, smashing into his hand, shattering it. Jo Jo screamed in pain, dropping to the ground. Celsius walked over and stomped on his already broken hand. He then kicked the startled young man in the head over and over until he was out cold.





“Take him down, Titans!” Nemesis shouted, desperately trying to free Mindy from her trap. “Hang on Mindy, I’ll get you out of here in a second.





“Here, let me help.” Superboy said. “People forget I have tactile telekinesis, but it comes in handy from time to time.” The handsome young man said as he disassembled the trap with his powers.





“Thanks Connor.” Mindy smiled as she Wonder-spinned into Champion.





Kitty Kat helped Red Robin to his feet. “I’m so sorry!” she said.

“it’s ok…I know he made you do it.” He gasped holding his wounds.





“If anything had happened to you again...." Kitty Kat whispered. "Come on, I’m getting you out of here and we'll see to your wounds.”

“You two aren’t leaving the party so soon!” Celsius hissed, sending a bolt of mental energy, knocking Kitty Kat and Red Robin out.

Apotheosis approached Celsius. “Keep on talking, dummy. I’ll absorb your powers before you know it.”





“Moron! You think I didn’t sense you sneaking up on me?” Celsius smirked, spinning around. “Go ahead, try to absorb my powers.”

Apotheosis started the process and suddenly felt sick. “So hot….and cold…. all at once…..can’t..can’t hold it all….AHHHHHHHHHHH!” he screamed the power burnt him from within. His uniform burned away as he was levitated into the air. His mask shattered.

“He’s killing him!” Lilith thought as she used her own telekinetic powers to lift the Titan’s meeting table at Celsius. She dropped it on his head and Apotheosis fell to the ground. Illumina ran to his side.





“He’s having a full on seizure!” Illumina said, trying to calm the convulsing man. “What did you do to him?” she demanded.





Celsius emerged from under the table. “He said he wanted power, I gave it him.” Just then he noticed Storm Surge’s trident flying towards him. He lifted a hand and stopped it mid-air and sent it back at Storm Surge. The Atlantean dodged it just in time.

“I don’t need a weapon to stop you.” Storm Surge growled. “I’ve had enough of you and your posturing!” he then leapt onto Celsius and started punching. Celsius used a mental bolt to send Storm Surge hurtling through the front of the building. He landed in the fountain in front of the Hall of Justice, unconscious.





Tom ran over to Power Guy. “Man, this is going to hurt, but I’ve got to free you. The Kryptonite is killing you.”

“Check…check on Supergirl.” Power Guy said, his head slumped forward.

“Already on it, PG!” Champion replied. She rolled the daughter of Superman over. Her eyes were shut and she was very still and cold. Blood poured from her body. “Tom, it’s bad. We’ve got to get them out of here.”

“Just…just pull them out…” Power Guy said, referencing the Kryptonite spikes in his hands. He took a deep breath as Tom prepared to pull the first one out.

“Here, I can help. With my telekinesis, I might make it a little easier.” Superboy smiled as he removed the first spike.

Power Guy grimaced and Superboy removed the other spike. Power Guy fell to the floor.

“Team! 2 of the big guns are down! Don’t hold anything back!” Tom Tressor commanded.

“Don’t count this big gun out just yet!” Champion said, twirling her lasso.

“Or this one!” Green Lantern said, his ring pulsing green.





“What am I? Chopped liver?” Sonic Boom smiled as she prepared to let loose her sonic scream. Just as she opened her mouth, Celsius sent a bolt of ice directly at her head, encasing it. Sonic Boom fell to her knees. He then sent a mental blast at her, sending her through a wall and outside.





“Didi!” Dark Arrow yelled as he took off to help his sister. As he ran through the hole in the wall, Celsius commanded part of the ceiling to come crashing down on him.

Green Lantern was horrified as he saw what happened to his best friend and his girlfriend.

“Go take care of them, Lantern!” Tom gestured.

“He’ll take care of no one!” Celsius said, sending a bolt of yellow fire at Green Lantern.

“GAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!” Green Lantern screamed as the fire started consuming him.

Lilith saw Green Lantern struggling with the fire. She used her own telekinesis to extinguish the fire and proceeded to lift the debris from Dark Arrow’s broken body.

“SCRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!” came Sonic Boom’s Canary Cry. She had been able to blast her way through the ice that had encased her head. She ran to her brother’s side and grabbed his hand. “Dan! Do something!”

“I’m scanning his body with my ring…Oh Didi, he’s injured…badly….” Green Lantern said, creating a stretcher with his ring . Lilith gently used her powers to lift the Titans of Authority’s leader.

Green Lantern surveyed the scene. Many members of both teams were down.

“HAHAHAHAHAA!!!” Celsius laughed, power erupting within him. “Come on you wimps! You can’t go out this easily!”

“We won’t.” came the Flash’s voice. He spun his arms creating a vortex. Celsius was distracted for a moment and Champion lassoed him, tossing him into the Flash’s vortex. “Lantern! I’m sending him your way!”





Green Lantern pointed his fist as he noticed the vortex solidify. Celsius used his powers to freeze the vortex and he burst free from it. Green Lantern pointed his ring and sent a beam of energy at Celsius, which he deflected with a wall of yellow flame. Sonic Boom let loose with her scream as every window and glass object in the Hall of Justice shattered. Celsius smiled at her as blood poured from his nose and ears.

“B*tch.” He sniffed using a mental bolt, striking her throat. Sonic Boom gasped as the force from the bolt knocked the wind out of her. Celsius then turned to the Flash. “No more mischief from you.” He said as he used his mental powers to intensify the pain in the Flash’s injured ankles, causing the speedster to pass out.

“Lilith! You and me, come on!” Superboy said, flying into the air.

Lilith linked their minds. Together they merged their telekinesis and sent every object they could think of, flying at Celsius. Green Lantern created a shield to protect himself and his fallen comrades from the flying debris. The tiles from the floor lifted as a massive wind shook the Hall of Justice. Champion noticed the floor begin to buckle and support beams waver. “Tom! Get the IADC agents out of here!” she shouted.

Tom directed the shaken agents outside. They staggered about, trying to shake off the effects of Celsius’s mental manipulations. “Call in reinforcements! We’re going to need it!” Tom commanded.

Superboy and Lilith held hands. There was so much debris flying around, Champion could not see. She could barely make out Green Lantern’s green shield.

“Give up Celsius. This is pointless.” Superboy and Lilith said in unison. Green Lantern felt uneasy watching them levitate in the air. For a moment, he thought he felt the Phoenix force, but then remembered its promise to never interfere on this Earth again.

From the swirling debris, Celsius emerged. His fists were clenched and his eyes glowed red. “ENOUGH!” he said, venom in his voice. He sent a piece of debris, hitting Lilith and knocking her out. She dropped to the ground. Champion ran to catch her.

Illumina ran from Titan to Titan accessing their injuries. “Superboy!!! Be careful!!”

“Yes, boy. Be careful!” Celsius smirked, levitating into the air and getting in Superboy’s face. “You are a disgrace to the “S”.” He said, ripping Superboy’s shirt away. “Now, that’s much better.” His tongue flicking at the angry young man in an obscene way.

“Dude, are you ever barking up the wrong tree.” WHAM! Superboy punched Celsius left and right. The madman laughed off his blows and used his ice powers to encase the Teen of Steel in a block of ice.

“Hope you catch your death in there.” Celsius gloated. Just then Champion landed a punch.

“Is that all you can do? Beat up children?” She said, punching away.

“Ah, what a feisty spirit you have!” Celsius laughed, groping at Champion. “Tell me, is this how Tom gets your motor running?”

“Unhand me, you disgusting pig!” Champion said, punching his chest and breaking one of his ribs. ‘Touch me like that again and I will surely rip your hands away!!”

“Ha, finally someone who can fight. Come on Champion, show me what you’ve got! You don’t need to be with these losers! Join the Titans of Authority! Or join me…just think of the good times we could have…how beautiful our children would be!”

Superboy burst free from the ice and Green Lantern flew up alongside him, as Champion was punched away.

“Green Lantern, Superboy!” our friends are all badly hurt, I need to get them out of here!” came Illumina’s voice.

“Oh no good doctor! No party pooping!” Celsius screamed, descending on Illumina as she tended to the Flash. He grabbed her, pinning her to the ground and licked her face. “So pretty, so bright!” he laughed, positioning himself on top of her. He grabbed her hands and held them above her head.

“GET OFF ME!!!” she screamed, summoning all of her strength and erupting into a bright flash of light.

“AGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! My eyes!!!!!!! d**n YOU!!!!” Celsius screamed, punching wildly. “I don’t need to see you to kill you all….my mental powers allow me to see…..”

Green Lantern noticed Celsius’s eyes had turned a milky white.

“You hurt me! You actually hurt me!” Celsius screamed at Illumina. “This party sucks. Time to end it all.”

Celsius tilted his head back and screamed. The Hall of Justice erupted into flames and within seconds, the building collapsed, sending fire and debris flying. Moments later, it was over. What had once been the mighty Hall of Justice was reduced to smoldering rubble. Fire burned as the debris settled. The IADC agents that had been evacuated were stunned at what they had just witnessed.
