NEWSI'm happy to see that the new Marvel cinematic Spider-Man will still be Peter Parker. Even better, he'll still be in high school. Also... Movie is NOT an origin storyWIN-WIN-WIN

I'm fine with Peter still being in high school or a college student, but once he gets too far removed from college, I've always felt that the core concept started to strain a bit. I just don't think Spider-Man should ever be older than about 25.

I was personally grateful for the dates provided at the bottom of the article: The crazy thing about the schedule is that it could potentially change plans in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel pushed other dates of the Disney/Marvel films back to give a Spider-Man the spot on the calendar that I think Thor: Rangarok previously held. As a consequence, Black Panther got switched from before Infinity War - Part 1 to after that film. Inhumans, in turn, was pushed from before Infinity War - Part 2 to after it. So if either BP or Inhumans was supposed to link up with the Avengers films, they have to re-think how that will unfold.

Evidence perhaps of Marvel's involvement with the creative process? Ka-Zar and Savage Land is a pretty out-there concept for a Spidey movie... but then again, Marvel Studio's mentality seems to be that they are that confident in their ability to make you like their more oddball properties. Exhibit A: Guardians of the Galaxy.
