I posted a few covers in the New Comics thread a while ago, but I finally got around to pick up an issue of Capricorne last week. They didn't have the first issues, so I picked up the oldest issue they had (no7, "The Blue Dragon") ...which might have been a mistake, because I could follow little of the story so far. Anyway, the writer/artist is Andreas (full name Andreas Martens), I don't think I read anything by him before, though he seems to have worked together with Eddy Paape a lot, a name that is more familiar to me (Luc Orient being his most famous work and now I look it up, Andreas was credited on 1 issue of that series). I complained to pip some time ago that I didn't know a lot of German comic writers/artists, but Andreas is one of them. His artwork is pretty stylized (some examples as the cover above doesn't do his style justice.): His storytelling takes some getting used to (possibly because I didn't read the previous issues, but issue 7 had seemingly random panels between the regular story of a skeleton against a black background moving. It's only at the end of the story that we finally get a full spread of the skeleton that it turns out that there are four of them and they are the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse who are gathering.) From what I can gather, Capricorne is an astrologist and is the leader of a small group of heroes. At the beginning of the story, Capricorne is arrested in a razia by the secret police of "The Concept". "The Concept" is a (seemlingly) leaderless dictatorship fully dedicated to their ideals. Mordor Gott (who by his name you immediately know is a bad guy) is Capricorne's archenemy, but he teams up with Capricorne's friends to free him so they can fight the Concept together. The story so far is urban fantasy (taking place in the present day or near future with strong mythical themes and presence, combined with a dystopian regime). Mostly I was confused by this issue, but fascinated enough to seek out more from this author.

I have not heard of this but am interested.
