Two of the series DC announced as part of the post-Convergence line up of titles that were supposed to debut in July, have been pushed back to sometime later in the year... BC articleBoth sound interesting but I wonder if delays are due to creative changes or something else. -M |

I'd rather see them pushed back a bit and come out good rather than just come out. I'm not sure if there's even been an artist assigned to Mystic U yet.

And now James Tynion has reveled that both he and Ming Doyle have left the Dark Universe book before it was ever solicited, so the delay is likley because they scrapped what they had and are looking for a new creative team....Tynion said some of the ideas they had planned will be ported over to the Hellblazer book they are doing instead... I miss this version so much ... If DC Comics ever return the team back to this ... I will be a happy camper! I actually didn't care for that version of the team. I prefer Lemire/Demattis' team consisting of: John Constantine Zatanna(in her Ivan Reis designed costume) Deadman Madame Xanadu Black Orchid I...Vampire Frankenstein Swamp Thing Night Nurse I know you do but, I just have issues with three members on that team and they are I...Vampire, Frankenstein, and Night Nurse. I feel that these three characters just don't belong at all and that's why I don't read it anymore. Sorry. |

To each his own. , Dr. Poison - the reason why I don't Lemire/Demattis team so much because I.Vampire, Frankenstein, and Nightmare Nurse with the addition of Swamp Thing of whom I like as a character in DC Comics Universe is that Jeff Lemire and J.M. DeMatteis subconsciously transformed JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK into a DC Comics Version of the Monster Squad of which I don't care for. To me, when I look at Jeff's lineup I see Monsters in the making because of the team consists of I.Vampire and Frankenstein. The original concept of JLD is destroyed and that's why it's did not fare to well to the younger more hipper generation that wants to change things. I'm middle the road man at the age of 56 that feels that Jeff is alienating from this lineup that he wants and that's why I don't care for it at all. When he introduced Nightmare Nurse to the team - I see another version of Harley Quinn and that alone forces me to drop it immediately and move on for more suitable replacement of which I selected Superman Wonder Woman Comic Book of which you recommended in the old forum that we were members of. |
