So he's trolling with variant covers? That's pretty silly.

I think Frank Cho is a talented artist (in particular, his ballpoint pen artwork is amazing). And I get that he has a thing for drawing near-naked, well-endowed women. But stuff like this is just plain creepy, especially when considering Gwen is supposed to be a minor.

Yeah, I would love to see him draw something that wasn't a scantily clad woman, or a woman in a provokative pose.. he's quite good, but most of his art is downright embarrassing to have in one's possession.

Here's some Cho art for you then... not to say there is not a lot of pin up style art by Cho or that it is not what he is best known for, but he does do a lot of stuff that is not provocative poses and scantily clad women, people just seem to dismiss it when he does because they are looking for the pin up art. -M

That Thor doing Conan one is pretty awesome! And, of course, you gotta love a good Gorilla Are those just pin ups, or from an actual comic? I know he does some sort of Jungle Girl comic (which I've been tempted by, but, again, the covers are mostly too much).

The Thor pic and the Thor vs. Cap pic are from his run on Ultimates I beleive, the Liberty Meadows stuff is from his creator owned comics. The dino and Tarzan pics I think are from portfolios or artbooks, but but not 100% certain. I do like a lot of Cho's stuff, but not a huge fan of the cheesecake/pin up extremes he sometimes goes to, but if he's drawing dinos or apes I am usually in. -M

Hi guys - while no-one has directly crossed this line, I'd like to ask everyone to keep in mind that it's not ok to personally insult a creator. If you don't care for their work, that's one thing but keep the creator themselves out of criticism(i.e. saying something like Frank Cho is a pervert vs. his art is overly sexualized).
Thank you,
Dr. P

His women are gorgeous, even when they're fully clothed. Though to be fair, I should note the huge amount of nudity in the above work. Gorillas, dinosaurs, even little green ducks, butt nekkid. It's shocking, I tell you <clutches pearls & swoons>

I will admit that every book that I bought with Cho art was for the express purpose of seeing how good the women looked. He really is a good artist but the highlight is the female form. Adam Hughes has a similiar appeal.

More proof that Frank Cho is more than capable of some nice, tasteful images of women when he wants to. This is one of his ballpoint pen sketches.

The man is immensely talented, though his females are certainly attractive.

Colour version... If Gwen was at least 18 I wouldn't be bothered by this cover but I'd only have it on display for 'mature' readers.

The irony is that if you add up all those old McFarlane covers, Spider-Man has been subjected to more revealing "crotch-shot contortions" than just about any other character. Frank Cho's a wonderful artist, but I wish he'd do less cheesecake. Just a personal preference. I don't get the need for it in comics. Why would you want a drawing of a hot babe when you can Google the real thing to your hearts content? (Not that I've ever done such a thing. *ahem*)
