ASD, how tall and expensive are those Gundam? I prefer my robots simple and clunkier, but those are stunning.

ASD, how tall and expensive are those Gundam? I prefer my robots simple and clunkier, but those are stunning. They're all under 5 inches tall. Surprising amount of detail on some of them. No idea what they cost when they first came out.

Five inches is nuts. I thought they'd be huge. That detail is real impressive.

I used to be a die-hard collector of Transformers and other transforming robot toys. Having owned pretty much everything I ever wanted, being generally dissatisfied with the new stuff coming out, and being short on shelf space, I pretty much stopped adding to my collection about five years ago. However, it seems like there's a new renaissance happening in Transformers toys. Between the new Combiner Wars teams and the more recent Masterpieces, I'm suddenly excited about Transformers again! Finding this guy in Target rekindled my interest: Then I bit the big one and got these two: The Masterpiece Star Saber, in particular, is completely rocking my world. Now I can't wait to see Takara Tomy give the masterpiece treatment to some other larger vintage TFs. I'd personally love to see: Metroplex (didn't care much for the look of the new one. I want one in the classic style at a 1.5x scale so that it can hold regular TFs) Diatlas God Ginrai Sky Garry Star Convoy Overlord G2 Megatron

I actually just came across my old Transformers (and Gobots) in the toy box that used to be in my room at my parents' house, which they dropped off at my house one day because they wanted the space back.
Coolest thing I have in there is Shockwave, who turns into a gun with lights and sound, both of which still work 30 years later (I had to put a 9-volt in just to see, and I was pleasantly surprised). Even unboxed, those actually go for decent money on eBay, especially if the light and sound still are operational, so it looks like I will be putting something up for sale soon.
