Can some of you refer to your copies please (mine is over the great pond in the UK at the moment)... Cover looks inviting, here it is... But when opened there's an Alka Seltzer ad... Which then leads to this... And an extra back cover... Do any of you have copies like it? This one also had the jewellers insert so I'm wondering if its exclusive to those.

The copy used on the Spidey CD-ROM set doesn't have the extra cover or the insert, for whatever that's worth.

I used to have a very beat-up copy of ASM #125 and it didn't have any of the extra pages you show here.
But here's a guess. During the summer of 1984, I stayed with my mom and step-dad at an RAF base in the U.K. There were a lot of U.S. military on the base and they had a PX that seemed to serve mostly U.S. military and it even accepted U.S. currency. (No pennies. Everything was rounded to the nearest nickel.)
I bring this up because they had American comic books that were just like American versions except for four extra pages of advertising in the center. I think it was a jewelry ad, similar to the one at the back of your ASM #125.
So your ASM #125 might have special advertising added for the U.K., maybe specifically for the U.S. military?

You mentioned your copy has a jewelers insert in addition to the extra cover ad. That probably explains where the extra ad comes from. Hoosier X is referring to the Mark Jewelers inserts that ran for years and years. They were indeed only inside copies distributed through American military bases. As a result they are rarer than normal copies. How much rarer I'm not sure, but given what had to be a pretty small - and spotty - distribution system, I would think they are pretty darn rare compared to normal copies. There aren't many people who collect Mark Jewelers inserts, but there are some; just yesterday there was a brief discussion of them on the CGC forums and it was suggested that they may have about a 10% premium over normal copies.
I've never specifically heard anyone mention this extra ad in connection with Mark Jewelers inserts, but that's my guess.

Thanks for the responses. I think I'll try to get another of these jeweller type insert books to see if the process repeats itself in another title.

I remember as a young'in , buying Avengers #93 and discovering that the final chapter had been printed twice. I didn't know what to make of it( Being new to comic buying and all). I thought all the 93's came like that until I picked up another copy and seeing how much thinner it was.
