What the heck's wrong with the classic look, moviemakers? Why can't he look like the Clown Prince of Crime? He's evil either way!
Cei-U! Man, DC sucks at movies!

I think he looks like the Joker, just shirtless and I highly doubt he'll be shirtless though the entire movie. Odds are, he'll be sporting his purple suit in the movie as well. As for the teeth, this is an older Batman in the current DC cinematic universe so it's likely that this Joker is older and has had several of his teeth punched out by Bats, hence the metal replacements.

The Joker should have a tattoo on his forehead that read, "My crimes are a cry for help. Won't somebody please love me."

Looks pretty good to me, he certainly looks suitably deranged. The rage against this makes me laugh though as it's the exact same as when Ledger's look was released And there aren't many now who feel it was a bad look. Jared Letto is a pretty good actor so I imagine it'll be fine.

I prefer Leto's look to Ledger's. Though I'm not a fan of the tattoos. But then I'm not a fan of them in general.

I loved every second of it, and I was one of many who went batshit when Ledger was announced as the Joker. The scene where he's clearing the streets of cars with the tommy gun and telling Batman to hit him was the best part of The Dark Knight IMO and one of the more badass scenes in movie history.
