There will be. I guarantee it. I hope so, between this issue and Thunderworld I think DC has all the proof they need that a fun Captain Marvel book definitely has a market.

I'm pretty sure DC has been holding off to build momentum and launch after Thunderworld and Convergence for maximum impact.
It's been frustrating they haven't done it sooner, but timing and leverage are very important, along with getting the right creative mix.
How soon ? Pretty soon, I think before the end of the year probably along with a New Gods title of some sort and hopefully a Freedom Fighters title as well.
Any one of those three would make me extremely happy.

I would certainly enjoy all three of those!

I love me some DC, but it's some of the mid-tier characters I love the most, like the Legion, Hawkman, the Doom Patrol, and these three sets of characters.

I would love a new Shazam or Freedom Fighters(as long as it's not the New 52 version). Both properties have always been favorites of mine.

This issue was a lot of fun! Easily my favorite Convergence tie-in so far.

My first DC book in a long time and I really enjoyed it. Looks beautiful, too. If you like the artist, check out the first arc of Jeff Parker's Flash Gordon which is also drawn by him.

I just read it and it's the best Shazam / Bulletman & Bulletgirl story that I read. I just can't wait the next installment!

For those who might not have read it, the 90's Power of Shazam was awesome as well, and had Bulletman & Bulletgirl as well as the other Fawcett characters, with great work by Jerry Ordway and Peter Krause.
Loved this Shazam issue !
