This combines two things I'd love to do, vacation in Hawaii and go to a comic con. Unfortunately, having just been switched to yet another new company (still work at the same client site for the past 8 years, but being paid by the 4th different company) I have very little vacation and no where near enough money. <sigh>

I would love to go and meet Stan Lee and George Perez but I already made my plans with friends in September. I would never, ever guess a COMIC CON in Hawaii on the island of Oahu.

Amazing Hawaii Con is next weekend. This week was Hawaiicon on the Big Island. A small con. But it had Steve Leialoha and Trina Robbins. I got Steve to sign a Warlock comic and picked up a book of sketches of his, in which he added a sketch:  I picked up Trina's Chicagoland Detective Agency. I also got to see Greg Benford and Marta Randall talk about sci/fi writing. Here's my pretty light haul, including a couple books from local artists.  |

Amazing Hawaii Con was fun. Larger than the last two Hawaii Cons, being put on by a company that does many conventions. Heard Mark Bagley, Rob Liefeld and Kevin Eastman speak.
