Happy Anniversary CCF!
Thanks Shax for this great place for all of us to log in and share about anything in world of Comics and Beyond!

It's too bad we can't all get together for a party. We could invite the characters from the Teen Titans cover that crashed CBR!
Bunker could cater it. I'm sure there must be plenty of delicious cakes and doughnuts and cherry pies in all those pink bakery boxes!
And we could invite the tiny children that go to the school in that tiny school bus. They won't eat much. But watch your step!
We should have the party at the park! Don't worry about the weather. If it rains we can stay dry by standing under Wonder Girl!
Have fun!

Thanks for posting that Shax. Sometimes you don't know what you have until one day you don't.
From Aaron King: Perhaps the best feature, it policed itself really well. Arguments would flare up now and then, but they rarely got hateful, and they were all resolved peacefully.
From Antoine: civilized and polite.
CCF is truly the once and future forum, with all of the above still so true.
I don't post as much as I used too, dropping by less frequently than was my custom. But the beautiful thing about CCF is that even if you don't get around as much as anymore, all the old friends are still there to say hello to whenever you happened to drop by. And that's a rare good thing.

I love the idea of all of us getting together somehow, despite it being impossible.

I love the idea of all of us getting together somehow, despite it being impossible. I totally agree. I'd love to have the lot of us sit down together in a room one day. Like you say, it's impossible, but it's the impossible dream.

Like you say, it's impossible, but it's the impossible dream. our best bet would likely be an Emerald City Comicon. it's a LONG trip for many of us, but it's also an epicenter for this community.

Yeah, Emerald City would be our best bet I think.
I've always meant to get there and haven't, but it's very possible I will sometime.
If I do, I'll definitely let y'all know.

I have now met almost 75 people from the old forums IRL, as they say, including several who have made their way to this new forum. Heck, I've met people from CCF who live all the way in Germany and the Netherlands, so nothing is impossible.
I recommend you all come to Hawaii, perhaps in September, and we hang out on the beach and chat about comics.

Reading that old thread. Scott Harris-- U.S.1 #1 was one of the earliest comics I ever bought, and I will always retain a fondness for it. Happy to discuss!

Bah! Washington is too far. You should come down to the south and hang out with Dan B. and I, granted that his cats haven't eaten him yet.
