It was one year ago today that our esteemed Shaxper took us to the new classic world. We have this to thank as the catalyst Seriously, it has been a pleasure hanging with all of you in cyber comic space.

I'm not sure what I think of that cover. Wonder girl looks like Jessica Rabbit in pants. Raven ... someone from Tron for some reason. Not sure how Robin's costume can always change yet basically never look different? I don't know Bunker, but it reminds me of the re-imagined TMNT costumes that Jim Lee did. I even bought action figures of them back then. And well Beast Boy ... of someone from Elfquest?
And because I balk at social media @ and # mean nothing to me other than "at" and "number". Ugh ... kids! lol
But yeah, thanks to Shaxper and all the other moderators and people that make this place work. Ya'll are awesome!

Thanks to Shaxper and all other people here who have made this board (to me) the best place on the internet to talk about comics. What started out as a replacement for CBR's Classic board has turned into a replacement for CBR completely to me.

Great thanks to our friend Shax who threw us a lifeline when our former home set us adrift. Also to all the friends who came together, without whom this wouldn't have become a home. May your lives be full and your comics always fun.

Happy anniversary from a member who is tremendously grateful for this place. Hallmark advises that the appropriate modern gift for the occasion is clocks. Have a clock, CCF!

I had completely forgotten about that horrible horrible cover that started it all.
Is Bunker the one riding the tidal wave made out of pink cake boxes? Is that his power? Is he like Iceman, except he creates pink cake boxes instead of ice, and he uses them to make barriers and chutes and tidal waves that he can ride?
I was also wondering about the tiny school bus. I guess they go to a school that has enough tiny children that they need a bus that's about three-feet tall to make sure all the tiny children get to school on time.
I also love Wonder Girl's bubble gum lasso.
What with all the tiny children and the pink cake boxes and a gigantic Robin, I bet this was a fun series. It would make a fine anime series with a title like Lilliput Death Academy.

It's almost at the level of Green Lantern's power ring now, actually. The series actually has had it's moments.. that cover certainly isn't one of them.

How are the tiny children getting along? I hear they get teased a lot about taking the short bus.

was that really what caused all the hub-ub at CBR? I was away on vacation at the time.
At any rate, happy birthday CCF!

Is it still being published? How are the tiny children getting along? I hear they get teased a lot about taking the short bus. The children are fine, they were saved, and they put the Titans in the spotlight. I think they're regular child-size though. It is still around.. Manchester Black is involved now (trying to take over the team from Red Robin).... he's at least a little evil. There's a new Power Girl, who's kinda cool. The current story has Superboy apparently responsible for the murder of a bunch of Durlan refugees that were hiding on Earth.. some of the team is supporting him, some have gone to Manchester to bring him down.. not the best story ever. The 1st 4 or 5 issues of the run were pretty good, though. @ Guardian - Yes, the cover sent people over the moon, especially coming right on the heels of the 'Sexy adult Powepuff girls' cover a week or two before. LOTS of people though the cover was too sexual for a teenaged character, which brought out enough of the a-holes to troll said people it pretty much blew up CBR.

It was also that a bunch of the a-hole trolls made physical and sexual threats against the woman who wrote a column on CBR that critiqued all the problems with that cover.
